You would get a key from harvesting both the dragon and the yeti for opening their chests

great vid mate, if I'm not mistaken(rarely happens lol) the bosses you killed in the temple of cold af drop keys if you harvest them, also there is a small trick to the crenelations for the archers, but the cren out of his shooting line, behind him works for me, it is really a turret so they can shoot all round 360. Looks dumb when they face the other way but at least they shoot enemies
Yeah, I realize while I was editing I could have harvested them for keys 😅

I know it's easier said than done, solo anyways, but when doing the siege, you gotta keep pushing forward to where you got to the locked doors. Once you're there, it calms down. They don't get replaced like on the outside. If you do it again, bring bombs for the doors and/or the battering ram.
I'll give it another shot and see how it turns out. Hopefully it doesn't pull everyone from outside into the building 😅

Well all that siege stuff may seem fun but in fact it has been done for multiplayers clans, doing it as a single player with two thralls is the best way to lose your thralls as they are dumb as fu.k!
I tried the new purge system a few days ago and even if i had a lot of thrall of high level well equiped, a level 10 purge is quite a problem as your thralls are stupid, run into the mine field get stuck against walls and don't even fight and get killed. I lost two thralls but the ennemies never reached to door at least.
I got a barmaid at least and a vendor who sells uninteresting stuff at absolutely ridiculous prices.
It's clear for me that all that war stuff, the new purges, the castle siege have been made for multiplayer. Well if you are a clan of 5 people with two thralls each it is probably easy but in solo it's too difficult and the best way to lose your thralls.
The bar system is also not interesting, you mostly get low level thralls and you will spend all your gold for nothing. If you want low level thralls you just go fetch them with the black lotus potion. In a few minutes you will get a lot of them for nothing.
I did this at Sepermeru, running in the streets droping orbs and then harvesting thralls without having to fight.
You needed some keys, but you had them close, in the dragon and in the yeti, just butcher them
Yeah there's quite a few things that I'm not a fan of that they've done with Age of War. I think that they got several things right, or at least hitting in the right direction, but it just seems like it just falls short. I could be being picky, but I've seen so many other games do better or follow through better. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing, but certain aspects of the current chapter are just disappointing to me.
I also feel that the siege stuff is just more geared towards multiplayer. While Conan does have a single player option, the game is pretty much designed to be multiplayer. I do like the idea of playing with a bunch of people, but I also like the idea of not having to. They should have some coding in there somewhere that tones the game down if you're playing in single player mode. Other games already do stuff like this, so it's possible at least 🤷
@@RoverNaut The base principle of that siege event is good but as always with Funcom it comes unbalanced and the solo players who are probably the majority of players from what i see on youtube are left on the side of the road.
They are absolutely disconected from the player base and do stupid things.
I hate the new combat system, with a short sword now it's really hard to hit the target if you dont lock it and i never lock it because it's even worse this way. Well it's ok for a new player with a controler, you lock and hit, but for an old experienced player like me it's a pain in the ass. It makes the game slow and annoying to play, i love to be very fast with hitting and doge but now i have a lot of difficulty to hit something, if you are not perfectly aligned you miss and turning the view with the mouse during the attack doesn't redirect the weapon direction.
And sometimes my character stays in the attack direction and walk backwards just as if i had locked it on the target.
The bar is a nice feature and the ability to place your thralls in guard or on a seat is cool, unfortunately the animations are very poor and seing a bunch of thrall sitting on a bench or a chair doing absolutely nothing is weird. I hope they will add some animations to make this more realistic.
On bar stool they drink and talk and it's nice why not on the other seats or guard positions.
All you had to do was skin that dragon for a key.
