Use any kashmiri chilli powder for better color and spice. You can buy in bulk from any kirana store. I brought 2 KG of it and it's amazing.

Usal or misal are both same ?
No they are different ...to prepare Misal first make 'Usal' which is a water based curried preparation of cooked sprouted lentils and then, when topped with Chivda, farsaan, raw chopped onions and tomato it is called Misal...its usually served with pav(bread)

Hi , I recommend not to boil or cook sprouts because while we boil it especially it loses all its nutritional values , so avoid doing that , best recommended to use it raw like salads

Apparently I have been trying lot of ure recipes and I am sorry to say that they never turn up like ure outcome, maybe there’s something more to it that not show probably and even the taste is not very good

I think that is new school thinking. Usal in Maharashtrian cuisine is a very old school recipe in sabzi or curry form cooked by grandmum’s era. They never promoted salads and lived more healthy than our generation. Sprouted grains as salad is a current happening phase in last 5/10 yrs. Before that there were lentil sabzi n curries in everyday cuisine.
Boring to see receipes where no one is talking. We have to rewind to see if we have missed anything. Why can't you talk like other TH-camrs ? What about people who can't read. Your receipe may be good, but who has the time to keep staring at the mobile.
