  • I love to look at trends to see where the design industry is going especially when it comes to color. In this video, I am analyzing color trends over 4 years to show you how the color palette is shifting from cool tones to warm. I also show you how to bring this new warmer pallete into your home in an easy and affordable way. Lastly, I want to show you a new technique used by interior desginers to bring in texture that is going to be huge in 2023.
As always, thank you for watching and email me with any questions to all your interior designs projects.
    XO,
    Julie

You explain it all so well. I can look at a room in a magazine, but not know how to incorporate the look in our own house. Even if we tried to imitate the designer room, our room wouldn't look as good because of different room dimensions, varying furniture availability, budget, etc. But, by explaining the process behind the designer's choices, you help us incorporate and personalize the good desing. Like this video, in which you encourage us to look past the current color of the year to the last four colors of the year to discern the trend behind the choices. I'm not a fan of Sherwin Williams's 2023 choice--we call it "diaper poo" brown--but pulling away from that specific color to think about color trends over the last few years will help us choose paint colors that suit our spaces and tastes and don't look outdated. Thanks.

This comment made my day! Thank you. You are so right there a massive gap between the magazines and real life just like in fashion magazines. However a room is about a feeling like a good outfit can make you feel confident or cozy and comfortable. You made me lol about the Sherman William color. That is hilarious. I am sure your home is gorgeous and most importantly has good vibes. Thank you again for taking the time to write a comment…means so much to me.
