    1. Mid to late 80's w Kevin Rooney - One of the greatest heavyweights we've seen.

I watched the Douglas/Tyson fight live years ago. Watched this old replay at least 3 years ago. Lewis had the longest reach of any heavyweight ever. His Jab was a power hammer and at 250 pounds had lightning speed! Tyson even in his prime would have had to land an early round knockout to win against a opponent like Lewis. With shorter boxers like Tyson, Marciano and Frazier, they have to always keep coming forward. They don't have the luxury of boxing on the outside. They can't use their height or weight advantage to lean on an opponent. They can't rely on the jab or take rounds off to regain their strength. I'm a fan of Tyson, but he stood no chance against Lewis or that deadly uppercut. Years early, who knows? Tyson was much quicker and more precise when he was younger. Even though they are the same age shorter fighters are usually done by the time they're in their early thirties. Taller boxers usually last longer. Lewis, Ali, Foreman, Holmes and so on.
