Depending on the Vitamin A supplement you take, cod liver oil could be redundant as sometimes it is used as the supplement's source for Vitamin A :) This is just a comment for anyone looking into trying these supplements! Also, a lot of capsules are created with soy which can really interfere with a female body's ability to absorb estrogen properly. I don't know how great an impact vitamin capsules have on this, but if taking on a daily basis it's worth doing research on.

Great info. I did so much research as well and totally agree with everything you mentioned. Cutting out most Sugar and all dairy made a huge difference in my skin, as well as Zinc and a probiotic.
Also, for those who are trying to get pregnant. Only have Sex during the fertile period, and most important tell your partner not to self-pleasure during this time, as you want the highest Sperm count, and the most chance of a sperm reaching the egg.

I was so looking forward to this video! Great information as always ☺️ I quit the pill 5 months ago and had the same symptoms, small under the skin bumps and rough texture on my cheeks and forehead and my hair fell out like crazy! It’s getting a little bit better now after lots and lots of research and adjusting my diet. But my body is still finding it’s balance so I’m not there yet. The book that really helpt me is ‘Beyond the Pill’ from Dr. Jolene Brighten. Can highly recommend it!

Dear Annie, thanks a lot for this honest and helpful video. I was in the same situation some years ago und changed also for some allergy my diet in the same way. Maybe if u also have period problems too some women make a check for ENDOMETRIOSE. This can affect the body in a way to have problems getting pregnant. Inflammation is typical for this. I wished to know earlier. But the doctors don’t always diagnose in the right way. There’re ways to make the situation better - one ist the diet. Love your videos! 😍😍😍

Well now my jaw line is just a mess lol I’m thinking of getting back on the pill as it didn’t affect me in a bad way, I just fell off my routine of taking it and I felt my hormones were all messed up from skipping pills. I’ll be talking to my gynecologist soon but I definitely want to try these supplements and diet changes before I commit to the pill again as well. Just want to share my experience. I removed pretty much all dairy from my diet for 2-3 years after my PCOS diagnosis. Initially I did see improvements in my skin but over time I developed some issues with my flora..had a lot of bloating...and kept getting yeast/ bv infections. I also eat quite healthy overall following the 80/20 rule. Over the last 8 months I started having plain Greek yogurt, kefir and cooking with cream/butter when I feel like it. My skin has been amazing, haven't had bloating once unless I was getting my period and most of all my infections stopped. Overall I just feel very energetic and everyone tells me Iook so much better now that I'm not restricting my foods so much. Now im not saying I know exactly what made me so unwell but im just sharing be careful to just follow what you read or hear. Definitely go slow on any changes and ideally involve your dr.

I was prescribed accutane in high school and took it without doing intense research into the side effects and whatnot. I was too young to care. In the moment, I felt like I only had dry skin as a side effect. Looking back now, I wonder how much my social anxiety and feelings of depressions (leading to isolation) was correlated to accutane...

Hi! First things first your mask is AWESOME. I work as a skincare purchaser scouting new clean brands to introduce to stores like Sephora and honestly never felt so satisfied by a product. Also, my husband uses it...I actually caught him with some left over mask that he forgot to wash off on his neck and we had a good laugh about it.
Although I no longer suffer from acne, I think this is a great video just for health in general. I've acquired a bit of a tummy (ok a lot of one) during lockdown and constantly feel bloated and gross. I've looked at your old videos about bloating and found it extremely helpful! I was wondering if you can put together some charts (or if you know trusted links) on food groups to avoid, food groups that are good for gut health and bloating etc. I'd love to print them out and keep it as a guide. Ok one more thing..
You should compile your most used and favorite recipes in a PDF! I can't be the only one constantly looking for your recipe vids! I'm asking for a lot I know! I cook SO much and so many different foods and flavors from around the world but I realize I should probably keep it more simple and wholesome and I love your recipes for that! I am constantly going back to old videos of your to look for a recipe in the description box would be nice to have them all in one place, especially your dressings!
Ok I'm done! so so much love and well wishes to you and Mo, be safe and congratulations on your new home and gorge kitchen
    From Montreal, Canada!

Be careful with zinc, I think it does wonders but if you take too much you will feel nauseous and most likely throw up. If you take a lower dose after a meal I’ve found this doesn’t happen. Just know that zinc toxicity is a thing 😬 I take a multivitamin that already has zinc, maca and inositol and it works great, but everyone is different

For me, I was on the pill for a year and 1 1 months, I gave it up 3 years ago. I had all of the problems with the skin (looked exactly like yours) and with the hair as well. But there were other effects as well, I got subclinical Hashimoto, my blood sugar was extremely unstable and was craving sweets all the time, despite eating healthy. The blood sugar and the hair and acne I solved. My thyroid showed very little signs of getting slowly better, but I am far from ok. I was low in iron and vitamin D and was prescribed supplements. There were other issues I got as well: melasma (forehead - still unresolved 3 years later, despite treatments and using professional skincare), cellulite (I work out 5 or 6 days a week and never had any before), small spider veins, very many moles (I got around 100 new moles in a a couples of months after quitting birth control). For me, it was poison and 3 years later I am still fighting to get myself better. (before being on birth control I had perfect 28 day cycle and perfect skin and very long and thick hair).

Are you already trying to get pregnant? Sorry for the direct question but I'm in the same stage in life as you - moved to a new apartment last month etc. 😊. I think I need a little support to not be afraid of getting pregnant.

Hey do you think a B12 Vitamin would help with skin ? I’ve been taking one for about a month now I’ve heard it’s great for hair growth. Would I be able to combine any of those supplements you mention with a B12 vitamin?

Great video Annie :) I love how you encourage being gentle with yourself, both externally on how you treat your skin and internally on how you treat your soul. ❤️ I think we need as many reminders of this as possible.
I'm glad the fertility awareness method (FAM) is working for you, but I think it would be good to mention the effectiveness of it to your viewers. For anyone reading, FAM is only 76-88% effective (according to Planned Parenthood). It's more effective (closer to the 88%) the more consistent you are with taking your temperature at the same time everyday and avoiding intimacy on the "unsafe" days, but I would just caution people about this method because we're all human and can slip up. If you're not consistent with taking a pill, then this method will be even more difficult to maintain. I think it's perfect for someone like Annie since she's in a committed relationship and is clearly a very responsible and consistent person. But I think if you're in a less stable place in life or you have trouble maintaining consistency, this method isn't the best idea.
If anyone reading this is interested in hormone-free birth control, look into the copper IUD! It's 99% effective, good for 10 years, and doesn't impact your fertility when you have it removed. The main negative side effect of a copper IUD is that it can make your period cramps a little bit worse. Hormonal IUD's can also be good as they are also 99% effective and act locally just on your reproductive system rather than systemically (through your bloodstream, like the pill). Hormonal IUD's can also improve period symptoms such as cramping.
I recently got off the pill to get a copper IUD and I'm really happy with my decision. Of course, do your own research and talk to your OBGYN before making any decisions regarding your birth control so that they can help you find what's best for you. The pill and FAM aren't the only options out there, there's lots of other methods to explore and discuss. :) Hope everyone is staying safe, happy, and healthy. ❤️

I was wondering if you experienced also some mood swings/changes and how you dealt with that because Ive had a few friends who went off birth control and became moody af (which can also take a toll on relationship, especially if before the woman is super stable and chill..)
