Who have the better idea for the next project?
Maybe something to do with the ploter? Like maybe have it live draw or type. For example, you draw or type something and it draws it for you as you do? Dont know if you get what I mean or not. But it would be pretty cool I think

To make a research report on it, any way to calculate specifications like torque output depending on load and to not let timing belt slip and malfunction, and how to overcome friction on rods etc?

Thanks for your great video! I followed your instructions for assembling my plotter, but I have two problems. The first is the orientation of the drawing, please could you tell me how you wired the motors (eg the first left pin of the motor goes to the outer pin of the shield) and how you set the parameter $ 3. My other problem is that i drawing is out of scale, much bigger.Thanks for your help
Change x step/mm and y step/mm due to your motors' step angle. Mine is 1.8 degree and step/mm rates are 83.333.

@Kady DIY, did you ever try to use a fountain pen with this Draw-Bot!? I am building one of these Draw-Bots but I prefer to use a fountain pen. Fountain pens are more economic and they hold more ink, so they can complete larger denser drawings without the need for reloading a fresh pen. The only concern I have is if the rapid lowering the pen would splash the ink onto the medium.

@@Kady3DPrinting There must be a way of dampening the action of servo motors in the firmware. Easier solution would be finding a fountain pen that doesn't splash when crashed to the surface of the media when the servo engages the pen each time.

I noticed that you attached a guide for the wiring to the lead screw. Won't that turn the wire around the screw when the platform moves?
Do you mean the small red parts that hold the motor wire? There is enough space between every thing.

hmmm when your plugging in the pen servo into the board, i see that you are using 3 single pins and plugging them into differnt places on the board, unlike the 3 pin that are in a straingt line. i cannot really see where your plugging them into. can you clarify which pins plz.

Hi! Can I ask you how did you make that Ben Franklin signature to follow only one line? I try to make a gcode out of a svg signature, but it doubles the outline (just like it does for you at 0:30). Thank you

I thought it would be nice to build this for kinder gardens or drawing teaching centers but is almost 300 us dollars to build it. A 3d printer besides can print can cost 180 dollars the cheapest ones. Anyway, looks very nice. Maybe with 20x20 or 20x40 profiles can be cheaper.
How to operate tho like connect it and then put what you want it to draw and put it into its folder???

Hello sir. I made this bot. Everything is working fine. There is one issue. My bearing don't rest on each other so when the pen moves all the way to right on x axis it tends to touch paper without input from servo. It mainly happens due to leverage.
Did you face such problem? And how can I solve it ?

Do you mean the Nema stepper motors cables? You can use any 4 wires cable
It has no limiting switches. It has no stops at the end of each axis!

No you dont need. Cnc shield have terminals to connect the power cables directly.
