Don’t worry if you haven’t studied. The SAT and ACT are far far more important than the PSAT. Yes, you can qualify for national merit. No, most people do not receive anywhere near the amount of funding this girl did. The average amount of funding for a national merit qualifier is only around 2k. No Ivy League school recognizes the PSAT for any significant amount of funding, nor do most schools at or near the level of USC. Don’t let this girl’s exceptional circumstance create the impression that this is the norm. Study hard, but don’t stress :)
If you get national merit finalist, which 15,000 people get, then most schools will let you attend full ride as long as you make the university your first choice, for ex: University of Florida

@@pinkrose10yt don’t worry! The psat doesn’t matter unless you get the scholarship, and it’s nearly impossible depending on where you live to get in, bc the score requirement is like 1500+.
@@pinkrose10yt Once again don’t worry about this lol. You can only even qualify for the scholarship if you’re a junior. Also, in some states the requirement can be like around 1460. If you’re a sophomore and you’re worried about the scholarship thing, just know that it only qualifies for juniors.
