Gasconade River Bell Chute Access

- This was my first time on the Gasconade River. I've always wanted float it further upstream to be honest, but this was where I ended up that day. So, I tossed on the trolling motor and attempted to go upstream. I didn't make it as far as I'd like or thought but I did get a few fish and a chance to say I fished it.

Love the Gasconade, lots of different species of fish to catch in there that you would not think was in it.

Man that’s right by our farm. In fact I bet you drove right past it. I do good on that river with crawfish jigs. There are some pretty nice smallies in that stretch.👍🇺🇸

I know I say it a lot but those spotted bass are beautiful. Nice distinct colors! Love when they hit the topwater close. Always gets the blood pumping!! Such nice looking water. What was that big fish at 9:25? Nice outing Larry!
Thanks, Chris. I was hoping it was a big smallie, but it turned out to be a drum. They do have some great colors, though.
Current was a drag! I enjoy the Gasconade from Belle Chute upstream. The river changes constantly from looking loike a small stream with lots of lay downs, to a wide river with plenty of current.
Yeah, it was surprising how quick the current was with it being so wide. I'll definitely be fishing that river again.
@@ShowMeCreeks I have run an outboard jet upstream from Belle Chute access a few times. The better fishing is upstream from the access. You made it up to the row of houses on a bluff. Upstream from the houses the river becomes surprisingly narrow, then suddenly opens up again. Its a trip! There is a brand new access with a boat launch upstream from there in Jerome. You should start from Jerome access next go around.
Thanks for the information. I'll checknit out for sure. It was actually Bell Chute or Jerome I was going to. I was coming from Cuba and this was the closest access. I'd like to go to the upper sections and float down it.

I'm new here in missouri. How far is this area of acces from vienna and could you shore fish here?
It's about 10 miles, and you probably could bank fosh there somewhere.
