I think this was even more evident in the manga, Levi looked like a true angel of death, the drawing looking like a horror figure, even resembling gorier titles like Berserk, and Zeke's reaction was pure fear and PTSD. Maybe it's just because I saw it first in the manga, but this scene, although not a bad job from Mappa, did look less intense in the anime to me.

You know DIO'S Voice actor is by far known as the best voice actor in anime. Levi's is also amazing. My top 4 voice actors are: 1. DIO/Zeke 2. Eren/ Todoroki/ Koichi ( most versatile voice actor) 3. Annie COMES Back (crystal gets unhardened because Eren removed ALL hardening, including all of the Walls, freeing the Colossal Titans. •The PAST Titan Shifters get Revived by the Founder Ymir and we get crappy Avengers scenes where Connie and his pals declare that they're going to "SAVE THE WORLD". Eren turns into a Colossal Titan crossed between his Attack Titan by using PATHS (Zeke mentioned it, and it reoccurred in my dream) and fights Armin's titan, then shortly after, Mikasa kills Eren. this all actually happens btw get spoiled lol. Pieck and Annie become besties and Yelena gets jealous and commits suicide by shooting herself in front of them (lol)
I just love how Levi strategically breaks down a titan. Swirl slices from their hands and up the arms. Takes out their eyes. Their Jaw. Their legs. Everyone else is like, oh their nape is open - Go straight for it... then DEAD!

I'll be the pessimist here and predict that any such effort will ruin his character. The audience is too invested in him to let even the most minor of deviations in personality slip by uncrucified.

MAPPA did a good job with levi vs monke fight 2 but man the manga hits different for me somehow. the shinigami shot of levi was so terrifying. if I was zeke I would nope my way outta there.
While Levi's introduction is cool, I always felt it was his fight against the Female Titan that we really learned how impressive he really is. His ability to take her down single handedly, while the next best soldiers couldn't do so as a team really highlighted how strong he is.

My personal #1 spot is the actual perfect representation of his character. In the scene where they are all looking for reiner and berthold, there is a moment where all of them are on top of the wall and Armin discovers that they are inside the walls. The moment reiner shows himself you see literally the entire main cast in shock while if you look really hard in the background, you see Levi react within 0,1 seconds. When everyone was in shock he just activated his killswitch because he knew that was going to be his only shot. Absolutely insane scenes with the music and all that. On youtube there is a video someone posted called : Reiner is found, levi is a god. Check it out to see what i mean.
