Levi is cool as hell in general, but I have two more reasons to appreciate him as a character. He defies stereotypes on what it means to be a man. He's short, and is a clean-freak. Since AoT is mostly marketed for teenage boys, it must be nice for them to have a role model who isn't like every other "stoic badass" in every shonen series. In a series like this, where everybody but a select few are *tall and buff,* Levi stands out and is loved all the same by everybody.

I think one of the best parts of his character is despite him hating filth, he still reached out to grab the soldier’s hand when he was dying to comfort him in season 1. Despite getting blood all over his hand he still did it because he was an empathetic person.
