Hi Eva, awesome video! I would add and it's been mentioned by a few people; while off-roading your tire pressure should really be lowered down to 20 psi... It will save your tires and less likelihood of a busting them. Therefore you really should invest in a tire deflator and a compressor. Greetings from Australia, the land of off-roading adventures!

I got an idea for an easy recipe! You can make lentil stew. Just fry some veggies of your choice in a pot, and then add water and lentils (I prefer red lentils, they cook the fastest). Cook until the lentils are done and it‘s ready to eat! If you want, you can add a bit of feta cheese as a topping. Oh, and for seasoning it‘s just some pepper, salt, and chilli :). Love this recipe because it‘s easy, cheap, healthy and you can always change it up by using different veggies.
Excellent idea! 👍😅Red lentils are done in 10,15 min and it's delicious! She can buy it even in small cans (beans, chickpeas, mushrooms, lentils.......) All she needs is-fry one onion, carrots, garlic, tomato.... whatever she has, as you said and put one can and lunch is ready in 10 min! 😋
You should get yourself a portable air compressor (to air up tires) so you can release the air from your tires to help you climb over rough terrains. It could also help you get out when stuck.
You only learn by trying, mistakes are part of that process. How you come back is key, anything electronic needs protecting. One thing I’d suggest is joining a club or trek with people you trust until you’ve ironed out the teething problems and improved your set up. I’d also recommend getting some lockable external carry boxes and have a Go Bag at hand in case the vehicle catches fire or your equipment gets damaged, stolen etc etc, could save you a long walk....
I'm so proud and extremely happy for this beautiful lady. She is living the life that a lot of us dream of living. Thank you for taking us along with you. Take care and be safe. ❤😘😘😄
Off road tips: downhill 1st low and no feet on the pedals but cover the brake, let the engine do the work of keeping you slow. Up steep hills 2nd or 3rd low and keep constant throttle. Wheel placement is key in both inclines and decents. Oddesey will do it no problems at all, she can handle nearly 45° angles in any angle. You will bail way before the Landy does! Shame I don't still have all the club trials footage I took years ago, you'd be amazed at what a stock Land Rover can do. :-D Question: Do you have ABS? If so then you also have Traction Control, that will help you on cross axle situations. Most of all, have fun! :-D

When me and my cousin were on a roadtrip in Australia for a month, and our menu nearly every night was very simple pesto pasta. Pasta + pesto sauce + tuna + sweetcorn. Super easy and delicious! However we did get a bit tired of it after a while 😂
I seldom say I love you to anyone, but ya I love you Eva, for showing us those beautiful countries you have been to. I am enjoying every bit of these adventures.Thank you ❤️
As for electronics, they want the same protection as yourself. When you go offroad, you'll use different clothing and more heavy-duty equipment, and your notebook would like an Otterbox (or similar) and a waterproof keyboard spill cover. And your phone, a waterproof and shockproof case, a fall-catching lanyard and so on. Everyone's just learning of course, and that's ok 🙂
Second that LIKE CRAZY!! Otterman Cases are great protection. A little expensive, and not very flashy/pretty, but they will keep your phone safe after a big drop. And make sure you get the full coverage case. The kind that close like a book to fully protect your screen.
Easy and nice recipe; Couscous salad Cook the couscous in bouillon (stock in English?), Make sure you do not use to much water Mix it vegetables like cumcumber, tomatoes, red pepper Add kidneybeans or chick peas and/or feta cheese
Yes to couscous! You don't even really need to boil it, just add boiling water from tea/coffee to a bowl with a serving of (small, not Israeli) couscous, then add toppings. I like kalamata olives + feta + sundried tomatoes (dry, added at the same time as the water to steep and soften). Also, maybe try to buy a 2 small paring kitchen knives (serrated and straight) with sheath covers? Yours looks to be all-purpose tool but seems too wide to cut easily. Other easy vegan/veg options: - silken or soft tofu scramble with turmeric (similar to egg scrambles) - split red lentil curry/soup (cooks quickly, shelf stable, add and curry spice mix and any veggies) - lavash or tortilla wraps made into quesadillas with cheese and veggies - canned corn + canned black beans + any veggies
How didn’t I find you sooner!?? - I’ve been watching off-road/overland videos for the last three years and it took me to today to find you! I have seen a few of your videos and will definitely watch more in your library. I love your attitude. I love how you manage to get that attitude across the filter of the lens. - Because despite your young age you have teachings for an old fart like me and I love being taught what to look for, what to value, in life.
Eva, I recommend getting a lighter with a stem so that your hand is away from the flame - especially with all the lighting of fires you do on such a regular basis. Great to see you out adventurizing!

I gave up on coffee and all heavily caffeinated drinks a few years ago, at first the headaches were awful as my body was crying out for its fix but now it doesn't bother me
When I need to cook but don’t have energy for it I always do my garlic pasta, I fry 1 or 2 garlic gaps, then I put in som cream and creme fraiche, I spice it up with some salt, pepper and dried basil, cook some pasta and mix it together. Very bad at English so I’m apologize for that😅 Hope you understood it :) love from Sweden🇸🇪❤️

When you spill water or coffee on your macbook, you don't go to the apple store! You shoud go to the independent repair shop, where they clean your laptop's motherboard in the ultrasonic cleaner. And the most inportant thing: DON'T TRY TO TURN ON THE LAPTOP AFTER YOU SPILL SOMETHING ON IT!
As someone who works at a shop like that, if the device was powered on when thwe spill happened, chances of it working after just cleaning it are quite slim. Considering the amount of liquid, and coffee being quite acidic, it would robably need extensive repairs, and finding a place where they're really good at board repairs and micro soldering might not be that easy when traveling like this. Tbh getting a new one was probably the right call this time. Lesson learned is to always keep the electronics above any liquids. :D
You could have immediately snapped open or unscrewed the back & open up the case and towel dry as much as you can and then let it completely dry out. Also always make sure you carry the large silica gel packs for drying out dampness, etc.& then toss it in a large zip-lock bag (this would be step 2).
@@SgtDuster No it is not. My son dumped Coca Cola on his Razer keyboard twice. I took out the screws and I placed the keyboard on the dishwashing machine. I cleaned wit a 30 degrees celsius program and very little detergent. I left it in the sun for a week to dry and ... now I am writing on it.
Never too much garlic, never enough beer and always keep liquid away from the laptop. Life lessons I've learned over time. And you've nailed it all in just a few days. I'm impressed!
One piece of advice for off roading, if you are on a rough track or trail let some air out of your tires. Makes a huge difference in the ride and gives you great traction. Especially if you get stuck in a soft surface. Let them down to about 25 psi or so and that should be about right for the weight of your defender, you can go as low as 12psi depending on your surface. Just don’t drive more then about 45mph until you air them up again. I have the same tires on my truck and i have run them down to as low as 8 psi before on the beach in mexico and i have run them for hundreds of miles at 15 psi at times. Do a little reading on the subject.
„You’re probably wondering ‘don’t you ever get scared being out here alone?’” Yes, that is exactly what I was wondering right about that time in the video 😅 But I’m glad you’re being courageous and take us along! 💪

I never normally write on these comments Eva but I have been following your for 2 ➕ years. I also have loved travelling to very unusual places and do the not so normal tourist places and hang with the locals. I am very restricted now because I became disabled and in a wheelchair but still have managed to travel Romania, Moldova,Gambia,Egypt, Jordan and Israel. I actually dreamt that I was travelling with you 2 nights ago. It was great and such an adventure. When things open up I would love to come and meet you some place. I don't mind camping out . Life is to be lived to the full!
Adulting is hard...at times. Then I remember I don't have to get anyone's permission to live, travel and find my own bliss! I'd never thought about Albania as a destination to explore - but I was so wrong- those incredible views would be worth the off-roading and camping, so thanks for taking us with you on this beautiful (if not a wee bit expensive) experience x

When I was a guest lecturer in Tirana Uni in 1992 (only a few years after the dictator Enver Hoxha), my students told me that there used to be a bunker for every family. And everyone, the whole population, had to attend bunker drills once a month.
Did you let some air from your tyres before going on the rocky trail? A tip: If you drop them to ~20 psi you will have a lot more grip and a lot more comfort! Just need a compressor to pump them back again when you are on the main road.
she can probably find a sponsor to get herself some bead lock wheels and an air compressor setup, then she will be able to air down even further without worry
you really think some woman is going to randomly buy a 4x4 landrover and go offroading the next day by herself in the middle of nowhere? she doesn't need the air down tip from real wheelers because she has an entire film crew shooting this BS where she crosses a river for 10 minutes then goes back to her hotel at night.
@@patjustpat5014 well you're wrong. She has no film crew, doesn't stay in a hotel and she didn't just randomly buy a 4x4. She was planning on buying it for awhile, the only time she has company with her is when it's family, and alot of the footage shown is out and away from hotels. Besides if it was a professional production with a film crew the rig they got would be a lot different, and more equipped for off-road excursions and overland adventures. The tip about airing down would be irrelevant at that point as the rig would most likely already have some form of an onboard compressor and beadlocks and she would have shown them off at somepoint. Also she just did a q&a about this whole thing.
Ok…I thoroughly enjoy your videos but, Eva…I worry about you day and night. You’re right…even tossing in one rogue cow, people are the beasts I fret about when you’re trekking. Curry dried beans and rice meal. In the morning, cold soak beans. Heat to a simmer, put in a cozy. Reheat again in 15-20 minutes if needed. Put back in the cozy. Add water as need throughout. Our go-to is dehydrated beans plus dehydrated diced/chopped tomatoes, onions, peppers, peas, etc plus coconut milk powder and a pinch of curry paste (red or yellow or green). Sprinkle cashews on top just before serving. You can, at literally the last minute, add Minute Rice for some variety in the grains and a complete protein.
Cooking while on 4x4 trip my comfort food is: instant mash with fried vegetables in olive oil. Like onions, garlic, mushrooms, salt and chili to taste. Dead easy, and tasty as long as you go easy on the salt and not burn the vegetables 😁

An easy camp meal, we call in pasta plus in Australia, its a packet of dried pasta and powder, you add water and milk, flavours include carbonara, alfredo etc. You make it up with some extra water and whilst it’s cooking, add some fresh vegetables like broccoli, carrots etc. sometimes i fry up some meat first before adding the pasta etc.
Watched the whole video without skipping a second you're so amazing and inspiring Eva ❤️🙌 have more amazing adventures ahead and keep inspiring for the love of nature!
Cous cous. Put it in a bowl, add some dried spices to your own taste (I normally add coriander, oregano, chilli flakes and black pepper). Then, pour boiling water over it, put a plate over the top to seal it in. After a few minutes the cous cous will have absorbed the water and is ready to eat. I usually add a splash of lemon juice, sometimes chop some cherry tomatoes into it. It's super quick, so easy when you're tired, and it's very filling.
Catching up on your amazing adventure videos, and can only say WOW..... your videos should inspire people to explore this beautiful world... i have travelled to many points of interest (thanks to my Delta wife flight attendant) but your travels by vehicle, crossing borders is the best way to learn about the world.... stay safe Eva!
Just a suggestion, but an on board air compressor is vitally important. When you're off road you should air down your tires. It will help smooth out the bumps, save your tires from gashes and flats, and make the trip far less rough on yourself and your truck.

Get a Panasonic Toughbook. :)
Easy and nice recipe;
Couscous salad
Cook the couscous in bouillon (stock in English?), Make sure you do not use to much water
Mix it vegetables like cumcumber, tomatoes, red pepper
Add kidneybeans or chick peas and/or feta cheese
Yes to couscous! You don't even really need to boil it, just add boiling water from tea/coffee to a bowl with a serving of (small, not Israeli) couscous, then add toppings. I like kalamata olives + feta + sundried tomatoes (dry, added at the same time as the water to steep and soften).
Also, maybe try to buy a 2 small paring kitchen knives (serrated and straight) with sheath covers? Yours looks to be all-purpose tool but seems too wide to cut easily.
Other easy vegan/veg options:
- silken or soft tofu scramble with turmeric (similar to egg scrambles)
- split red lentil curry/soup (cooks quickly, shelf stable, add and curry spice mix and any veggies)
- lavash or tortilla wraps made into quesadillas with cheese and veggies
- canned corn + canned black beans + any veggies
Sounds nice !
Hi Eva, I love this content, It reminds me of my true passion being alone in the country. Keep up the awesome vblogs they make my heart glow with joy.
Eva, I recommend getting a lighter with a stem so that your hand is away from the flame - especially with all the lighting of fires you do on such a regular basis. Great to see you out adventurizing!
Also be aware that flare ups like that are more common right before the fuel runs out. Hope you carry spares.
Admiring a kind of personality like yours ! Keep doing things you love to do.

I gave up on coffee and all heavily caffeinated drinks a few years ago, at first the headaches were awful as my body was crying out for its fix but now it doesn't bother me
Epic driving shots! Awesome!
Your videos just keep getting better and better - I'm obsessed!
Amazing Eva! That's how l think of you. Your videos are so compelling, you know, the content, dialogue and editing etc are world class, however what makes you so special is that we get to feel like a friend with you on your journey. A valued passenger. It's uplifting and amazing! 👍🏻💕🇳🇿
I'm sure the macbook was covered by insurance anyway so didn't cost her anything to replace!
You could have immediately snapped open or unscrewed the back & open up the case and towel dry as much as you can and then let it completely dry out. Also always make sure you carry the large silica gel packs for drying out dampness, etc.& then toss it in a large zip-lock bag (this would be step 2).
Fill the bag with rice, that draws out moisture.
@@mikehurley5052 More an urban legend than anything else actually.
I highly doubt she had the right screwdriver to open up the back
@@SgtDuster No it is not. My son dumped Coca Cola on his Razer keyboard twice. I took out the screws and I placed the keyboard on the dishwashing machine. I cleaned wit a 30 degrees celsius program and very little detergent. I left it in the sun for a week to dry and ... now I am writing on it.
@@SalesmanPride I was talking about the rice part.

Hello Eva! Just want to let you know that I admire your courage and perseverance! You go young and brave woman! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! Also, those plastic things are called Zip-ties! So glad that you send your stuff to the laundry, you have to treat yourself once in a while! You are a beautiful and wise woman! See you in 🇽🇰 ! ♥️🙏
One of my favorite easy camping meals is potatoes, squash, garlic and onions. Sautee them in butter or oil with seasoned salt
Eva, You have the most interesting channel I've seen so far! I have loved the videos I have seen so far, you travels are so different from other, more down to earth and beautiful Nature! I'm so happy I found your channel!

Stay safe, but avoid things beginning with “C”, like cows, coffee and cooking.

One could add cows... Just saying.... ;-)
And “conflagration”, also comes to mind.
Best advice 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@WytcherNytes Very appropriate! 🤣
Yes do this. H
Great investment for off-road.
you really think some woman is going to randomly buy a 4x4 landrover and go offroading the next day by herself in the middle of nowhere? she doesn't need the air down tip from real wheelers because she has an entire film crew shooting this BS where she crosses a river for 10 minutes then goes back to her hotel at night.
All I can do is to wrap you up in love and light and prayers so that’s what I do. Thank you for sharing the beauties of the globe with me(us). Always take great care and always enjoy your experiences, even the not so great ones because you’re on a journey of discovery and I see you discovering yourself. Stay safe, sweet girl and happy and healthy and I’ll see you in your next video. 🥰🙏🕊
Eva I'm so glad you took my advice and gave the defender a bath aswell 🤣 I am impressed

Happy traveling Eva! The world belongs to the brave!

Absolutely, just to add, while going down hill, be gentle on the brakes, instead use engine braking on appropriate gears

2. Paneer Bhurji sandwich served with cucumber, tomato(optional) & side chutney(ketchup or any side sauce for Europeans)
3. Poha or Upma or Dalia for the lazy days

Camping recipe: Pasta e Fagioli, sauté a half a carrot, slice of onion and clove of garlic all minced very fine, till soft, add 1 can Brown Italian beans, or Cannellini beans, a half a jar of Tomato Pasatta ( purée) 3 cups of water and 1/2 cup of small pasta noodles. Few ingredients and super delicious: Heat up Olive oil with garlic and onion, than put tomato puree in it, bay leaf, pepper, salt and lovage (it's like parsley but more tasty), than add champignon and cook it for 15-20 minutes. When it is ready I put some balsamic vinegar on the top, it's a really tasty fast food and incredibly delicious. You can eat it with rice, pasta or potato puree as well.

The first thing you should have done was at least try and find where that multi-plug attached to! I'm sure you would have found the female end after a few minutes searching!
@@kabukidreamboy Probably better to have mechanic deal with it as the wires to the connector looked damaged. But that should be done before going out again as it might effect the four wheel drive if the mechanic she talked to was correct. Diff Lock is important on roads like that.
@@markpashia7067 it's not going to be a functional component of the diff lock, it's most likely the plug for the little diff lock light that comes on when you lock the diff.
Kidney beans & tomato sauce + garlic toast::: You can try tomato sauce (boil it until it gets thickened with some garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, etc) with red beans (kidney beans - put them when you are done with the sauce). Also you can make some garlic bread toasted in olive oil. Extremely fast and easy recepie to make, very tasty and preatty healthy. (all of this ingredients come in cans so that's perfect).
Here are my EASY and quick camping meals (all vegetarian or easily adapted to be vegan!) that i have found, I use these for overnight canoe trips but could be used on any camping trip:
- fry everything in a pan burrito - peppers, onion, tomato sauce, refried beans (tofu if first night), rice maybe, sriracha - cheese and wraps - my best trips for wraps is to put your wrap on the fire - it will go lovely and smokey
- Chilli and garlic bread - in a pan dehydrated beans, dehydrated veggies and dehydrated vegetable protein, dehydrated tomato sauce (doesn't need to be dehydrated but useful if youre in the wilderness for a few days)- garlic bread is just garlic and butter mixed together and put on fire
- Thai red curry - rice, coconut milk, small jar of red curry paste +cayenne pepper , onion, peppers, chickpeas - could use dehydrated veg- could garnish with peanuts for extra protein
- Lazy cheesecake - cheesecake powder - graham crackers, choc chips, fresh or dried blueberries - add water to cheese cake powder and eat on graham crackers
- roasted bananas on the fire - take a banana out of its skin cut down the middle and stuff with chocolate chips and peanut butter or whatever filling you like, wrap in tinfoil and put on coals in fire
- Stuffed peppers - precooked rice or quinoa - and stuff with cheese and other veggie - could add some marinara sauce - wrap in tin foil and place in campfire near hot wood
I hope somebody finds this useful ! :)
