Wait this is actually super cool and would fit my needs extremely well, and I don't even care about the portability lol. I have a second monitor that I like to use in portrait mode already but there's a lot of things I wish were different about it. The combination of the resolution and size of each screen would work so extremely well for this. Might have to look into this a little deeper :D
Nice review. Would be practical if you travel a lot for work and have to do a lot on a laptop. I suggest using Windows Powertoys especially the Fancy Zones Tool in it for your automatic resizing when using both as one screen. Very handy. You can define Zones and just drop windows into them so that they automatically are resized to the corresponding zone.
Hello there! Nice review, I was looking into getting a portable monitor, specifically for taking with my ROG Ally so this is quiet useful!! I have a couple of questions, with the ROG Ally charger is it enough to keep the ally and the monitors running? I've run into problems occasionally trying to keep the ally charged given the single USB C in the original model, and currently don't have hubs or docks for it, but I understand that the FlipGO can work as a Hub since it has the passthrough charging and a couple USB ports. I'll sometimes take my Ally to a friends house to play League of Legends or Age of Empires, on top of the occasional vacation where I play some single player games. I don't have big expectations or anything, I don't mind the FlipGo being 60hz, but do you think it's a decent enough screen for gaming with the Ally, or is it a really bad experience? (I can see that it is difficult to make it work fine with consoles) Thanks in advance!!
Hi there. Yes it has pass through charging so no worries there. Is this the best monitor for gaming? No. Is this the best dual flip monitor for gaming? Yes. It’s ok, not great, for a better experience I’ve made a dedicated video on a single monitor, but if you really want the dual screen then you need to set expectations. It’s just …. Ok.
