Tobias Forge does the guitars, bass, writes everything, singing, he's just about the entire project on the album work. Ironically, he originally just wanted to be the lead guitarist, but when making Ghost a thing, at the start he ended up having to take over the vocals.
Saw these guys live and during the second chorus he actually reached out to this girl in the front row and sang the chorus while holding her hand and looking into her eyes just like in this video, it was probably one of the fucking coolest things I've ever seen at a live show.
that’s called being ciriced they used to do it every show during that song but that was when they performed in smaller venues now they’re getting arena big so papa can only like reach out to someone but he can’t touch them anymore which is sad but nice at the same time because that means they’re getting more recognition as they should

James Hetfield is a huge fan and can be seen both headbanging at a show as well as playing riffs in rehearsals with Metallica. He doesn't play drums on recordings. He only did drums for the very first demo of Opus Eponymous but on the recording and every record since it's Ludvig Kennberg. And there are some songs that are co-written.
They've been one of my favorite bands for a long time the singer Tobias Forge is a genius he not only created the band he writes all the lyrics and created the guitar bass and drum parts for their debut album hes got a great voice and incredible stage presence

I knew these guys because of an aleatoric list in Spotify... Year Zero and Cirice kept appearing and the Year Zero chorus started with “...Satanas, Lucifer...” I was like whaaat? It was like church music but from the other side of the road... then I checked the pictures of them and was blown away. Since then I’m hooked. There’s no better experiment than play Dance Macabre and tell anyone to imagine the band, and then show them the actual picture of Papa and the Ghouls, jajaja
Apparently “Cirice” is the Old English word for “Church”. In the music video you can briefly see the symbol for the evil cult, who had previously tried to convert/control the first Papa in the “From the Pinnacle to Pit” music video, on the talent show sign, this implies that the cult either runs the school or is funding/running the talent show (or both) for some reason (probably to try and find more “talented” kids to use/indoctrinate). Kid Papa’s song, and kid Sister Irene’s reaction to it, are specifically about how and why those who have been mistreated or neglected by society might find the devil’s offer of acceptance to be appealing. Hopefully this helps clear things up.

I knew these guys because of an aleatoric list in Spotify... Year Zero and Cirice kept appearing and the Year Zero chorus started with “...Satanas, Lucifer...” I was like whaaat? It was like church music but from the other side of the road... then I checked the pictures of them and was blown away. Since then I’m hooked. There’s no better experiment than play Dance Macabre and tell anyone to imagine the band, and then show them the actual picture of Papa and the Ghouls, jajaja
Apparently “Cirice” is the Old English word for “Church”.
In the music video you can briefly see the symbol for the evil cult, who had previously tried to convert/control the first Papa in the “From the Pinnacle to Pit” music video, on the talent show sign, this implies that the cult either runs the school or is funding/running the talent show (or both) for some reason (probably to try and find more “talented” kids to use/indoctrinate).
Kid Papa’s song, and kid Sister Irene’s reaction to it, are specifically about how and why those who have been mistreated or neglected by society might find the devil’s offer of acceptance to be appealing.

If you guys love ghost , you'll definitely love The 69Eyes . They're a Gothic Vampire band from Finland. The song Lost Boys was one of their biggest hits

Ghost did have a really big radio hit with "He is" in 2015 or so. At least here in their home country of Sweden
I heard they played it on some religious stations too, they thought it was about god, and obviously it was taken off once they found out.
