Thank you for this beautiful story. This shows what amazing people can do... but then when I see someone not liking this it also shows that we have a lot to learn.

Seriously, right?!?! Someone needs to find these miserable souls and give them a hug, and put them on deck of a sailboat like 'Impossible Dream', these people need to be inspired again. It's gotta be a lonely place to not feel compelled to smile watching a story like this.

As one who is in a wheelchair I always try to imagine myself through your eyes. I do love your videos. Seeing this boat, it made me cry. I find myself being left behind many times when my family goes to places that I cannot go. This gives me hope that one day I might be able to do something like that. Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee.

I'm on a ball at Dinner Key, where Shake a Leg is. I was here when Erma hit and saw what it did to Shake a Leg. it nearly took out the whole of their fleet. but, with the help of some great people, it's back to business for them. helping many people and kids.
I was hit by a car while on my motorcycle. I'm mostly metal now, but I am here and on my two feet. im currently building my own boat here to get out and adventure.
I love seeing these organizations out there letting people realize their dreams of getting on the water.
Thank you for showing people that life is possible. no matter your circumstances.

What an incredible video I just watched, I had a stroke 1 year ago and I am now paralyzed in my left leg. I am 78 years old and will be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I have been pretty depressed since I realized that was my lot but having just watched the video I now realize that there is life after a stroke and I feel a lot better now. I hope that one day I will be able to sail out across the ocean just a few kilometers from my home even if it is for one day only. Thank you that.

I found this amazing in the fact that being held back only comes from the other people not the person their trying to hold back. I've been told living on a boat and cruising through Europe is not something a type 1 diabetic should do. Since the age of six i have been told this many times about things i wish to do. But a wish, desire, dream is personal and no one should try to stop this.

tpp2001 I´m a father to a six year old boy with D1 and i´m hoping that he can do what he wants when he becomes a grown up. We are living in Sweden and we have always travelled, so far we have been to Dubai, Muscat, New York, Florida (twice) and a cruise in the Carribean in roughly two years since he debuted with D1,
So we are not going D1stop us from doing what we love and i hope me and my wife teach him that he can enjoy the world. Of course there are limitations, you have to check what we are going to do if he get sick and so on but the lesson is that you can do it.
And i don’t consider living on a boat and cruise through Europe something a D1 can not do.
      Fortume favours the bold!

Thank you for sharing this video! I know it’s over a year old, but I’ve been binge watching and just got to it. My youngest son is disabled. Was born with Spina Bifida, and the kid has had six major surgeries to date, he turns 8 in September. He has been an inspiration for me as nothing gets him down. Lately I’ve renewed my interest in getting a boat and just sailing. It’s always been a dream of mine, but other things in life have always taken priority. After my wife’s untimely death from a car accident, I’ve been thinking it’s time to start making plans, and living life to the fullest. To get my boys out and live, to see things, and spend as much time together as possible. Seeing this boat has put some fears to rest that it can be done and have my youngest with me. All my kids are great wonderful people, and this gave me ideas on how to accommodate my Jude. We’re currently in Ohio, but I’m thinking Florida will be our destination, then buying a boat, getting it fixed up, and making it handicappable. Yes it’s not a real word, but there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching my son, and that is nothing can stop him or others like him, they are some of the strongest human beings alive with their will, determination, and shear joy to be around. God bless you two and stay safe.

Never give up mate. It is the ability what counts.
I was paralyzed waist down in abparagliding accident in NZ in 1997. Doctors told me to never walk again.
Learned to walk with sticks and still getting slowly better.
Last year I bought my first sailing boat, 9 metre cruising catamaran which I have now sailed with various crews and single handed too.

I was paralyzed in 2016 with a left brachial plexus injury. I'm a true single-handed sailor only having the use of my left hand. I know right!!?? I was holding the camera by hand for the interviews and sometimes my arm was getting sore, and I was like....stop complaining Dan...you're filming someone in a wheelchair!! Give one a new perspective on life for sure.

Congratulations guys this is best of the best I've seen since I follow your blog. I'm a Rehab MD running a paraplegic and cuadriplejic unit here in Mexico among with other fine doctors. I'm near from retiring to live aboard with my wife on our sailboat and often I dream how I could share with my patients the beauty that nature gives us for free every day. This should give me some ideas. Thanks guys for showing me this wonderful people doing real things out there.

This is so cool!!! More boats like this should be made! Does not matter who you are. Everyone should get to enjoy sailing.

WOW. I can only repeat others sentiments. An excellent video about some very courageous people. Many, many thanks for posting. Too bad I can only hit the 'thumbs up' button once.

Floating on the wings of desire. Thank you so much for sharing...getting ready to head offshore my self - sharing many of the same challenges these inspired folks face. Never underestimate the power of Epiphany and the will to turn 'can't' into can. Keep up the the good work UMA and thanks again for promoting this legacy of hope and success. A First Class production!

This is such a well edited video. The images and music suited the narrative so well. Well done. Plus what an inspiring boat. Whom ever commissioned it, should also be given a shoutout.

Thank you so much for using your platform to share this inspirational story. We spent much of it in tears, being wowed by humankind's ability to transcend limitations and solve problems through determination and outstanding design. Quite apart from the amazing content, I really appreciated the quality of the film-making, and also the editorial decision to dial back your own screen time and make this about the crew and passengers of Impossible Dream. Bravo!

Wow, you guys just made my day. Fantastic story, and pro editing too. These are beautiful people, but it's your empathy that is the channel for it. Thanks

Well guys, you've just taken video-making to a whole new level with this one. The photography, editing, even sound-capture is amazing. But the thing that makes this piece absolutely shine is the story-telling. You absolutely *nailed* it. As the stories of the people, the boat and the places unfolded, I utterly lost a sense of where I was because I was totally engrossed and invested in the story. The medium was completely transparent (in a good way!). An absolutely brilliant and powerful piece of film-making; worthy and solid and no fancy frills or slick tricks, because they simply ween't needed... just god-damn bang on-the-money. Bravo!

Kika and Dan, I have found your you tube channel a month ago and have been binge watching. This is by far the best video. I was in a bad accident years ago and didn't think I would ever be "normal" again. (I'm better now). It was very touching to people over come set backs. I really don't know what to say. I love what you do. keep it up because its not always about "me".
btw I'm still binge watching. love and the best to you.

Dislikes? What? An important and inspiring story told so very well. Be proud of this. I never leave comments (It's ok. Judge me), but I felt utterly compelled to let you know what a great job you did on this. Love your channel already, but I'm becoming a Patreon because of this video. This type of work needs to be encouraged. I hope many others do the same.

You guys are incredible! Telling the story of Impossible Dream through the “dreamers” basically as a documentary shows not only your skills as visual storytellers. It also shows you have big hearts! 🙏🏻❤️
