Invert polarity works within the rules of the game, whereas telling your opponent, "let's flip a coin to determine the winner" does not. Also, cards "break the rules" all the time. What's next, reliquary tower breaks the rules cause you have no max hand size? 😂
I beg to argue that there is the, "hey this is taking a long time, let'sflip to see who wins", then there is the, this is a legit game mechanic. Far and above different things.

I think the comprehensive rules are there TO BE broken by designers. Its almost a test to see if they can make a card that bypasses comprehensive rules in playtesting and makes it to release.

The main design philosophy of MTG is that, for every rule, there is a card telling you to break it.

To be fair it's also the rest of the gamestate that is what is determining the match and not just the coin flip.

It doesn’t say gain control until end of turn, therefore it would remain under his control on his turn and he can attack on his combat.

You genuinely can determine a game through a coin flip. Nothing prevents you from rolling an unrelated dice and then one player conceding.
