"I don't have a passion project, but I want to be useful"
Thank you Matladi for wording what I've struggled to phrase out for the longest time in my life.

UnaRams is a cool guy for sure, and i'm super proud of how far matladi has come, well articulate now more than ever, there's growth in each one of you guys, and its amazing to witness with every episode. Thato you are going to be so proud of yourself one day for making sure men have such heart to heart conversation with each other, trust me, you are breaking the stereotype

Love how Matladi has become a bit more comfortable in this space. Looks like a whole lot of growth. Also every time i listen to these conversations coincidentally i deeply resonate with whats being said. Just this morning an acquaintance said to me "Jay you cannot do this all alone, you must learn to ask for help" and i literally cringed... Now hearing Lucas repeat the very same thing !! This podcast feels like a safe space !

Wow, I'm so speechless. I'm one of those kids Thato mentioned somewhere in this podcast - student, been at a point where I failed and also failed for the first time in uni, felt embarrassed coz all my friends had passed and I had to repeat modules and stuff. It was kinda difficult to navigate and I finally got onto something I'm more passionate about, I'm absolutely smashing it now, and yeah like Matladi says, luck mahn. I never thought I'd be able to get A's again after failing but here we are. Luck accompanied with hardwork lol
So this was a really amazing one. I think every week I comment here saying this was my favorite episode, but I genuinely enjoy and relate fully to each conversation yall have. And yall I always feel like I relate so much to Matladi, I also did 2 years in engineering before I changed, now I'm in food science. Now I love what I do. Failure has helped me to realize where I need to be and what I need to be doing. So once again, S/O gents for these amazing conversations - I'm always looking forward to watching and I'm sure there's thousands of others on here who also keep coming back to this channel coz it's soo relatable, kinda feels like online family 😂😂🤍🤍🤍🤍. Anyway, yeah, keep it coming gents. From Durban, with love 🤍🤍🤍✨️✨️

Roman Philosopher Lucius Seneca is attributed with the qoute Lucas used to define luck. However I think Zig Ziglar captured it better when he said ‘Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation’. Luck or providence as Unarine & Matladi put it is something that happens outside your control. You can’t take credit for that - it’s outside you. There are opportunities that come by chance/luck, depending on how prepared you are will determine if you are successful or will fail.

And one more thing, I've been more inspired, more opinionated and definitely more motivated since I started watching this podcast because as much as I can relate, someone here always says something that bridges a gap or is like the missing piece to a puzzle in my life. And I've learnt to see things from different perspectives and S/O to Lucas for that, because his perspective on things are always so unique and like Una said, also every scientific - which I really love. So yeah, we learn a gang load from yall every week and we'd love for this podcast to last as long as it possibly can. Amazing amazing production Thato, S/O to you mahn. 🤍🤍🤍

Ah… failure! Had my fair share of it this year when EVERY aspect of my life was just in shambles and some worse. It didn’t hit me till it translated into my books and I really struggled to make my way around it because that was my only source of joy left that I had “total control over” and boy did it also go left?! 😂 Through all of that though, I’m grateful for my quick adaptive response to it all to save the semester/year and crying (which I did a lot of even during my lecture consultations) while finding and acting on the solution(s) and/or second best one.
Still not fully equipped to deal with failure “healthily” but this year definitely did teach me how to roll with punches no matter how bad it hurts. Because me stopping or giving up (which I considered quite a lot) would not necessarily change the outcome but probably make it even worse. So, khala but khala while in motion my love don’t stop. But ukukhala, cry hey. 😂

The idea of luck is "mad" I don't believe in shit just happening randomly. I feel like every outcome is a consequence. Even flipping a coin and lending on the desired side isn't luck because if the coin flips once you get the opposite side... And if it flips twice you'll get the same side. I get that when flipping a coin you flip it so hard that it flips probably more than 9 times and you have no control of how much it flips, which is an element of luck but still nie maan luck needs a new definition because people make it sound like magic and I don't think it is.
