I love Opoponax and Myrrh...Yeah, because they are the sweeter, incensey resins in perfumery. Think of Guerlain Shalimar, Yves Saint Laurent Opium, and Dior Poison...But, yeah - I adore Psychedelic Love and all the fragrances in that vein - Valentina Myrrh Assoluto and Azalea Attar as well! They are hypnotic, mysterious, magical...That's what myrrh does.

I would have been so sad if you didn't like Le Labo's Myrrhe 55! I love it. It's so transformative and complex. I love it from opening to dry down. It's so fun and different compared to other more linear Le Labo fragrances.
Oppoponax is a resin as well. Shalimar contains oppoponax. I confuse the smell of it with myrrh’s. Raised Greek Orthodox, saying that, it’s a sacrilege.
Seta sounds interesting. I love the smell of myrrh. I’ve had it mostly in candles. I’ve also had it in a toothpaste. Myrrh is very good for your gums, and it has a nice, subtle taste. Much more mild than anise.
Sebastian, I really enjoyed this video. I do own Atelier Des Ors Iris Fauve and I truly love it. I did not know it contained Myrrh. Thank you so much for letting us know.

I'd add two fragrances which aren't necessarily myrrh-centered, but definitely feature it: In Timbuktu I get more myrrh when I wear it in warmer weather, and Aroon Sawat by Strangers has tropical fruits, tuberose and orange blossom on top of incense and myrrh.
Myrhh is my favourite essential oil- when my nephew was four he smelled it on me and it gave him a memory of once when he had black licorice. 😊 Ooh I love Psychedelic Love! 💜 Aww Myrrhiad so clever!
I have Samharam (Arte Profumi, I haven't heard anyone speak about this brand) and La Fleur de Sable (Liquides Imaginaires) that feature myrrh. I also noticed that a lot of the Profumum Roma fragrances contain myrrh.
The closest thing I have to a signature scent is Oriental Velours by Les Indemodables and I don’t hear you talk about this house enough! Myrrh and spruce!
Bois D"Argent and Ambre Precieux are both top of all time in my book. My other favorite Myrrh is Prada Amber Homme Intense--incredibly sad that this masterpiece appears to have been discontinued.
try ADP Colonia Mirra as well if u can get ur hands on as it's discontinued atm but a great fragrance. Also the old version of Eau sauvage parfum had a lot of myrrh and i liked it a lot.
Sebastian about myrrh ... you have acqua di parma colonia mirra, under radar, and discontinued now.... i bought a few boxes at 50$ /bottle 100 ml. Amazing scent ! If you want I send you a bottle as a gift .
Seb, you need to get Imperial Oppoponax by Les Néréides! It's a 10/10 fragrance- it's so sacred smelling yet warm and sexy- it drives people nuts! I can't believe they discontinued it- so sad. I have 1 backup at least..
Every myrrh perfume ive smelled has overwhelmed me so far 😥. I really wanted to like this note, but something about that smoky/bitterness doesn't go well with me..
I personally like to burn myrrh resin in a burner because I like the sweetness .. but yes perfumewise I like the Berdoues oud Sahraa - though I like to layer it on top of an oud attar to add more oomph . I do like the Guerlain boos mysterieux. I also like Myrrh Imperiale from Armani Prive

Hi Sebastian yes I do love my myrrh and tonka but another fave of mine is Myrrh Carmen from Givenchy their exclusiv line or whatever in the black bottle 😮you wanna call it I don’t get RB or Cola from Myrrh though weird huh or a lot of licorice I do get a resin vibe😮
Sadly, La Liturgie des Heures, one of my very first fragrance "leaps" (blind) was a big disappointment. To me it screams Pinesol cleaning fluid. But I am very interested in trying L'Eau Trois. I'm mad for incense (frankincence, myrhh), and L'Eau Trois sounds promising.
As they say you'd complain if I added discontinued fragrances and you'd complain if you didn't add a discontinued fragrance! It's freaking discontinued you can't it anymore. It's going for over $450 per bottle!

I have been wearing Dries Von Notten Rock Of The Myrrh for almost a year. I haven’t smelled another fragrance with Myrrh that can rival it.

Incense Rosé from Tauer is a beautiful, fizzy rose and myrrh fragrance.

La labo Myrrh has really strong Myrrh in the DRY DOWN. I feel it so much that I can’t wear it 😊. Although I do like the initial non myrrh notes

L’eau Trois is my favorite…one of Diptyque’s oldest perfumes. I didn’t realizebit was that popular.

Serge Lutens made a scent called La Myrrhe. I still have it. A bit syrupy for me.
