I was in love with this song since my early twenties and will be 32 tomorrow this is my fave song for life and David is the goat! I tear up when he screams "OHH DETERMINATION is fadin fast." lol I subbed to make u at 500 subs :D
I agree - the way he sings the line you mentioned is just epic. And that's not the only one. What an incredible vocal performance. Thanks for the big sub, Libra! Woo Hoo!
Smokey and Bobby Rodgers wrote The Way You DobThe Things You Do; Smokey and Ronald White wrote My Girl, and Smokey and Warren Moore wrote Since I Lost My Baby. All the co-writers were Miracles.
There's a alternative version of this as well where's David sings it in a more harder tone which is good too but i kinda like this version a little more but it goes to show how versatile David was as he be could smooth one minute and and take to church the next minute
Yes! I noticed that about a LOT of good songs.. They are often too short, only lasting for 2 verses and just over 2 minutes.. It's very nice to hear a good song that lasts for at least 4 verses, and for at least 4-5 minutes.. I really like the songs that tend to "Climb up to the next Plateaus" (heights) as the verses continue on... I refer to this as "Changing Gears",or putting it into 2nd,3rd,4th,gear,etc.. Btw Chicago's,"Dialogue" song is a prime example of a recording with a " Lot of Gears",or,"Plateaus"... ( I mentioned that group because I see that you have a pic of them in the background 😉 Anyway,Thanx for the Temps, music! That is my fav recording by them!😉
I totally agree with you on the concept of plateaus and changing gears in the arrangement of a song. It's one of the facets that helps build an emotional connection to the music. Thanks for watching and commenting, Chloe!
My FAVORITE Temptations song. I love it!!!!!!!!
David my number one singer
Eddie's falsetto in the background also adds to the overall greatness of this record.
