20 Years of the Convention on Human Rights in Estonia

This short film depicts the story of Estonia's accession to the Council of Europe in 1993 and to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in 1996. It includes statements by the then President of the Republic Lennart Meri, Prime Ministers Mart Laar and Tiit Vähi and the first Estonian judge in the permanently established Strasbourg Court of Human Rights Rait Maruste.
