And...
Mr. John Lawton Rip
Mr. Trevor Bolder Rip
I don't remember Ken Kensley
Yeah, white British don't age very well and can't live long lives
Uriah Heep and Nazareth are the two most highly underrated rock bands of the 70's. They both should be in the hall of fame.
Gary Thain's bass playing made that band what it was during that early 1970s period
Gary Thain...one of my major influences on bass. When rock bands looked like bands & actually played live.
Yeaph, as a Bass player I have to say you are absolutely right
he was fast and always had time to join in, both when playing and when moving around the stage while the bass played his delicate patterns.
BEST MASTER
Ken hensley Mick box Gary Thain David Byron Lee Kerslake fantastic musicians!
What about John Lawton 🙂?
@@sherlock8763 Of course!
The only real line up! That IS Uriah Heep!
@@sherlock8763 but Trevor Bolder, John Wetton & Alex Napier, also!
@@fabiocanestrari1313 Yes. Of course
Very sad, that only one of these members is still alive (Mick). All the others have passed away... Definitely legendary and one of the very best bands in Rock ever! Thank you Doctor Jazz&Rock for making the TH-cam Release.
Garry Thain was a killer on the bass .... great sound
Right, love his playing since 70s
Saw him twice in Aberdeen in the early 70s. Treasure 😊
The Heep one of my favorite band's of all time ,their music live's on in my home loud and proud ✌️👍
ITS A SHAME HEEP WASN'T PROMOTED BETTER IN THE STATES, MOST BIG CITIES WERE NOT GIVING THEM RADIO TIME...GREAT BAND
A lot of very good British bands suffered the same fate sadly.
Gary thain is outstanding 👏👍
New Zealand's greatest export .. The great Gary Thain
The great Gary Thain was one of the first to die in the early days of Uriah Heep, if I recall he died from a heroin overdose. RIP Gary Thain.
My first rock concert I was 16. I got hooked on rock. Deep purple was the head liner. Tickets were $5.50
I was there!! I was on a destroyer home ported in Yokosuka and took the bullet train up to all of the good rock concerts.
Please, can you write more and tell us much more about that experience? it would be fantastic
How did you get tickets?
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BANDS EVER!!!! 🖤🔥🖤🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The best....no words...return my best time in my life.
Love the Look at Yourself Album and everything from around this time period!!!
Thanks for posting this, Doctor Jazz&Rock. Uriah Heep is one of the absolute best live bands ever! Legendary line up David Byron, Mick Box, Ken Hensley, Gary Thain, Lee Kerslake really deserves to be called legendary. They were simply fantastic!
100% Agree!
The classic lineup!
100% Agree!
Big four with DP, LZ and BS
The quintessential Heep lineup. Damn I wish bands were still making music this great.
Rock Band «Uriah Heep» !!!
Legendary line up and Amazing live performances 🔥👍👍🙏
Taaaaa bylo w latach 70 takich kultowych kapel co sluchalem ich twórczosc i do teraz to mam wiadomo doszlo pózniej wiecej kapel do mojej milosci do muzyki ale pierwsi to Zeppelin ,Purple , Black Sabbath i Uriah Heep to byla ta firpiczta w moim uchu od poczatku lat 70 i potem to juz ruszylo ......👌🗽👋👋👋👋👋👋⭐🤠- Rengi from poland ✌️🎁✨👍👍👍👍👍👍🖌️🎩🎇🎇🎇🎇💫
Szalone lata, szalone zespoły,szalona muzyka,szaleni kumple.Szkoda , że to już odeszło.💔
😢😢😢😢😢
This recording are from Uriah Heep Live 73 in Birmingham. Notning Else!!!
Highly underrated band. I was in my mischeavious adolescent years when they hit their hight. Sweet was another great band. Thanks for sharing.
Gary Thain - hot damn!
I saw Uriah Heep twice here in Cleveland where they enjoyed a strong following. Wonderworld tour UH was the headliner, 2nd on the bill was Manfred Mann's Earth Band and opener RUSH in one of their first big time appearances!!!
David Byron A Legend. Great Huriah Heep
Sunrise is such a good song. Gary Thain was like the Jaco of rock bass. John Wetton was the best replacement for Thain they could have ever hoped to get. Such a great band.
And what about Trevor Bolder?
@@sisibond Unfortunately not in the same class as Gary Thain and John Wetton.
Saw Heep in Passaic NJ with Wetton he and Byron got into an altercation on stage Ken Hensley kept them apart! Maybe not a great fit 😅 but Byron had drinking issues. I didn't exactly see what happened but Wetton wasn't in a good mood 😮
@@ThomasRogan-gc5pi Really? That’s crazy. Wetton had just come from King Crimson, the band he loved. So, Wetton was probably a little testy.
Ragazzi a me sono piaciuti tutti e tre
Incredible show!
Mix Box .
Underated band.
Great tunes..
Love Byron voice
The best forever !!!
Gary Thain!
SPECTACULAR to say the least, Long live UH
This is 'Tokyo 73' only in the visual sense, as the audio is from the official 'Live 73' album recorded in Birmingham, England a couple months earlier.
This line up was simply the killer! Afther 50 + years still comming back to this live record from the 1973 and it is a one MUST have in every good music colection
R.I.P. for the dead
CHEERS for Mick
Tremenda exhibición de poderío de Uriah Heep.🇪🇸
Got to see them on their first US tour in 1972 with Deep Purple and buddy miles in Minneapolis
Too good & what a finale!!!!

100% Agree!
Sensationelles konzert. I like the japonese, because the sound is so beautifuuuuul!!!!!!
" 'ery 'eavy" , "Salisbury" and "Look at yourself" are my three favourite Heep albums . Although the ones that followed are more highly regarded these three to me were the band at their best .
Fantastiskt
concert excelente sonido eh imagen uriah heep masters
Lee Kernelake, the best singing drummer ever in rock. Yeah, I heard about that country folky band from California with a guy singing behind the drum kit. That was pop country MOR stuff.
EL PODEROSO HEEP !!!!
Ages ago I went to see Heep with Rory Gallagher warming up!! Unfortunately Rory cancelled and Earth Wind and Fire was picked to replace Rory? Didn't go over well Heep and Rory fans weren't amused 😅
I believe the 1975 footage was filmed on Halloween in Seattle I nave the official pin from that show recorded for Television
My apologies to all those who might not agree with me, all these guys were wonderful musicians, but David Byron was Uriah Heep.
Heep Heep Heep .... ❤
I will see them next spring in Hamburg/Germany. Headliner is Judas Priest
❤❤❤❤❤❤
LA STORIA DELLA MUSICA!
26:30 Easy Living
Remember Mick in a cast when they played Hampton va.
😍❤️💯👍
I bought this album as a kid in either 73 or 74, just on the recommendation of the guy at the record store, and when I heard the first cut Sunrise and then into Sweet Lorraine, I was hooked. The sheer energy coming off the vinyl was really remarkable, all the tracks really. As a young guitarist, I usually noticed mostly the guitar players (was listening to Jeff Beck, Leslie West, Clapton and Jimi of course, Robin Trower, John McLaughlin, Joe Walsh, etc.) but what actually jumped out for me the most was Gary Thain (no disrespect to Mick Box who fit that band like a glove). When I think of great bassists, it's usually names like McCartney, Squire, Stanley Clarke (terrifying physical ability!), Geddy Lee, Dale Peters JPJones, Jaco, Larry Graham, Tony Levin, etc. - I should remember to include Thain in my list because he really was a monster player, you can clearly see and hear that he just had full authority on the instrument and added all kinds of really great melodic material that still worked perfectly with the songs. What a tragedy that addiction took him at such a young age.
⭐🎵🎸😊💓💓✋
The best bad band I ever saw.
Od tego się zaczęło July Morning i On with The Action UFO.
They should be an automatic in, at the defective Hall of Fame, likewise for Steppenwolf.
💔💔
Easy livin’ 26:40
Why is it not synced up?
And run dmc is in the rock and roll hall of fame 🙄
This is not from Heep in Japan.
Ah, the same era that Mick Taylor and Billy Prestin were touring with the Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney and Elton John and Neil Diamond and Yes and Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and Jeff Beck and Kiss and Uriah Heep was way cooler than Chicago.
The music is NOT the live version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2:00
Led Zeppelin took on world , Uriah Heep took on the universe ....
Pffft, 70s boy bands, not surprised they didnt last long.......................🤣🤣
Loved them in the era, once David was gone, they went downhill, JOhn Wetton was adequete, after that, unlistenable
good music but horrible vid sync
Organ in bands like this ruined me giving them a chance. Just drowns everything else out
What , the organ is normally burried deep in the mix
I hate this fake synchronisation videos, it looks awful!
😳 fantastici
