    I can not imagine my youth without the mighty Uriah Heep. They were giants! They still are in my memory. And for sure I am not alone in this world thinking as such. God bless UH for their music.

      After a couple of decades of trying to sound like whatever was popular, they are back to sounding like Heep. You should take a listen to some of their more recent albums.

      UH was a huge part of my youth, starting in 1976. My first album of theirs was "High And Mighty" when it was released, followed by that "Best Of" that came out a bit before that I think. I was just a broke 16-year-old, so for a few years, those were the only UH albums I owned. But I played them disproportionally more than any other album I owned. Eventually, I managed to grab all of their previous vinyl, but man it was tough being a broke high school kid. Tough years, but I've never felt more alive than I did then. Best wishes to all of you UH fans out there.

    I was a steady Heepster, 1972-1975. I saw Uriah on August, 1975 PHILADELPHIA Spectrum.
    They topped the bill which also featured Blue Oyster Cult, and Atlanta Rhythm Section. It was the " Return to Fantasy " tour with John Wetton on bass....
    Loved the Heep!

      @AnthonyESacco 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @charlesnolan7602 I ALSO was at that concert! Mick Box had a cast on his arm....but I recall that the BOC (the middle of the 3 Bands that evening, Heep being the Headline) really blew everyone away! At one point, I believe BOC were doing M.E. 262, when 4 of the group members were all on stage playing guitars....it was GREAT! Back then, the SPECTRUM had those 3-Band Bills...Good Times, Mate!

      Saw them here in MD back in the 70s & Mick had a broken hand & in a cast so they had doped him up for the pain & he still came out guns a blazing & played his ass off , so impressive & as a player i broke my writs once & know just how hard it is to get back what flexibility i had before the injury. I had a long road back but i did work hard & am still playing . These guys never disappointed the fans. I would like to share one track i wrote which is just an audio track & an instrumental but Mick was an influence for sure. Anyone may leave me a comment on my site if you like what you hear. It’s beyond me why some of the best songs Uriah Heep ever recorded ("Shout It Out," The Time Will Come, "The Name of the Game") were left off their respective albums - the first two from Return to Fantasy and the third from High and Mighty. The same goes for other hidden gems like "Here I Am," "Why," and "Born in a Trunk." Additionally, two songs from the Spice era, "Astranaza" and "Magic Lantern," (The Lansdowne Tapes) definitely deserved to be recorded by mighty Heep.

    I'm not into hard rock at all but I ran across the Uriah Heep greatest hits & every song was awesome. Every other hard rock band I listened too I could not understand what the hell they were saying (lyrics) but this group has it. I can actually understand the words to their songs on the greatest hits album Demons & Wizards...I love Travelers in Time...

Miss those fun days but i miss those ticket prices even more. Saw The Allman Brothers in 1970 twice & tickets were 3 bucks !!!!

To me, without a doubt, Uriah Heep are way up front in matters of : 1)With the classic line-up I realise that Deep Purple, it's a rock band( almost any kind of rock) 2), I realise too that it is not the same with Uriah Heep; they don't make or play rock, nooooo!! the kind of music they play , I call it: Uriah Heep sound, cause it's UNIQUE ! @@CB-xr1eg Salut....Very first of all, forget about I'm upset cause you said so. If you find something of Uriah Heep IN Deep Purple ( I know Purple since theirs firsts 3 albums back in 1968 or 69) and when Ken Henlsey decide to write something, believe me it's way "upper deck" than Deep Purple You where right about 1 thing Deep Purple might sound like a few ones and, Up till today I never hear some songs who sound like Uriah Heep in any bands . Back in 1972 at the mystic Montréal Forum , my very first concert: Deep Purple & Uriah Heep, in 1974 Savoy Brown with U.H. and in 1977 or 1978: Uriah Heep WITH Jethro Tull, the concert of the century..To end it, I figure I know a little about the Deep Purple's sound and Uriah Heep sound, it's up to you to believe what I'm gonna write.
