My goodness this is just amazing. 😃👍 I'm exhausted just from listening 😄😄 So much good information 😀. I will have to watch it again and take notes thank you so much
I will be Baptized on Theophany. I wish everyone a Joyous Nativity Fast and well said on needing to bring joy to the less fortunate, especially so around Christmas.
I know I'm supposed to say Pascha is my favorite Feast (and don't get me wrong, I LOVE Great Lent and Pascha) but there's just something about Advent and Nativity.
Just finished watching all of your videos. I enjoyed them very much. After my view of the Christian landscape has basically been "Roman-Catholic heretics and Protestant confusion", I am quite interested in this "new" branch of Christianity that is much older and more stable than Protestantism and, from what I've seen in your videos, is very Christ-centered and feels very genuine so far. I'll have to do my due diligence and also look into the potential flaws of Orthodoxy, I don't want to be led into unknowingly supporting heresy, but my first impressions are very hopeful. Thank you for your videos, and may God bless you both, through and through.
Thanks so much for watching! It’s nice hearing Orthodoxy being called ‘new’! Hope you keep enjoying our future videos! Patristix isn’t really an Orthodox apologetics channel, but a channel about Early Christianity. We’re Orthodox, so we look at it from an Orthodox perspective, and we do believe Orthodoxy has the closest connection to it. But to really find out what Orthodoxy is, and how we live our walk with Christ, then to echo the apostles we would not say ‘take up and read’ but ‘come and see’. Visit an Orthodox Divine Liturgy on a Sunday, and talk to a priest afterwards. May God bless you on your journey of discovery! Thank you for your kind comments on our videos!
I’ve watched every videos of yours in a day. Well done. Thank you. Where in Australia are you, if you feel comfortable sharing? I am in Canberra and am seeking true orthodox community
I know it controversial and I wouldn’t blame you for avoiding it, but I wonder if you’d consider doing a video on orthodoxy and sexuality? My main hurtle to conversion is my love for the family and friends in my life that identify as homosexual. I just can’t get myself to commit to an institution that judges and condemns them for being fully who they feel they were created to be, particularly with my own admitted shortcomings and brokenness as a married heterosexual man. Any perspective shared in the spirit of love on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the important question, Jeremy. That topic is a bit outside the remit of Patristix. There are definitely other good resources out there though, and I pray you're able to find the answers you need!
I would say that 'identity' is the issue here. We ought in Orthodoxy to identify as sinners, and not as anything else, and our only orientation is towards Christ crucified. Your lived experience of Orthodoxy will vary from country to country, parish to parish. But start with this premise and live it and life will be very rich for you and those you love.
I didn't like Christmas until I became Orthodox.
It was a time that held a lot of sadness for me.
My goodness this is just amazing. 😃👍

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Please pray for the faithful departed that they too may experience the Joy of Christmas🕯🪦🎄❤
This is great! Thank you, brothers. There is so much more to Christmas than I thought as a child.
It's very exciting to have the whole story 🎄

Hope you found it brother. ☦☦☦
Good content!
Shouldn't Christmas be at the 7th of Jan since we are Orthodox?
All Orthodox celebrate Christmas on December 25th. The 7th of January is actually the OLD 25th of December. Same date, different calendar.

Do ya got birds?
No, we got noisy Australian wildlife...
I am 90% sure that calling ginger Christmasy is sinful. Ginger? Christmasy? That's a sin.
Haha! What about cinnamon?
I think it relates. Chris Cringle was a ginger. 🤓
@@Patristix oh yea definitely Christmasy
Love this channel. Looking forward to more Xmas updates. 💖🙏➕
