I've been looking for this coverage for years! I was driving the wee green Nova, up to 6th overall after the snow on day 2. We were team skint, running Toyo road tyres, when most of the rest were on tarmac racers. Sadly it all ended in tears, after dropping a valve on day 3 & attacking a stone wall on the penultimate stage of the rally. Talk about highs and lows!!
Stepehen Finlay was the greatest irish Rally talent since "Coleman"...his Calculated Coolness paid off so well on Circuit 1994 Pity his Career was short..@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork
I remember that year and the snow. I was on the coms team, and we lost one of the coms cars in a ditch on the way to those Sligo stages. My standard Nova SR made it into the first stage and into position before the competitors arrived, just, I remember trying to stay in the middle of the road by looking out the side window. 29:30 shout out to Alan and Isaac, I remember how suprised we all were when you guys were so high up the leader board, like myself Alan and Isaac were NI Navigation Championship regulars. Long time no see, hope you are well.
It should be renamed "The Circuit Of Dungannon". Only 4 stages in it each run twice. They should either bring back the Circuit Of Ireland or just change the name.
You don't know what your talking about. Try driving a rally car set up for tarmac with tarmac tyres on and on snow covered tarmac. Wrc drivers have studded snow tyres on snow covered gravel stages with a gravel set up. Stick to what you know about so you don't sound stupid.

One of the best years! Was at Bangor castle and hearing them things blipping and banging through the trees was unreal

Miss the old Irish rally days.
Unreal stuff, back when the circuit was a circuit. I think the rally name should be retired rather than making a mockery of it any longer.

So so cool, perfect
First year rallying, great times group A👏
The best rally cars ever
What the f is a TAyota ?🙃 Nice rally, specially because of the changing weather conditions!
There is one hell of a difference between Irish drivers on snow and wrc drivers on snow.
