Not sure about the modern cars but I saw quite a few get broken into up through the late 90's and early 2000's. A large screwdriver, hammer, and vice grips. Jam the screwdriver into the keyhole, smash the end of the screwdriver with the hammer. This drives the screwdriver into the locking mechanism and hard enough to drive the whole assembly free from the sheet metal door. Then just rotate the entire mechanism and pop the lock. Vice grips in case you need more leverage on the screwdriver to rotate it.
Well done ! I’ve had my vans outside my house for 20 years and never had a problem , just got done in exactly the same way as your ‘ how to do it ‘ video 🤔 nice one !
@@meoldmukker that's irrelevant when you rip out and turn the barrel , and nothing to do with your your first comment ,your here for a troll, see ya ✌️
You would have hoped that security design flaws like these would have been eradicated by now, the tool used might have progressed from the old screwdriver in the metal skin by the door lock trick but it’s still basic. Slam locks or deadlocks are now as important as insurance and tax if you have a van
Ah, legendary Ford locksmiths! Like the "genius" bonnet latch that has an anti-tampering trick. So, sooner or later, when your lock gets dirty or you bump your fender a little bit - the bonnet is locked from the inside! :D Had two cars with that problem until I decided no amount of savings is worth dealing with that and spent a little more on some other cheap second hand brand
I modified one with the back off a random cabinet or locker lock and a spot of weld. Ran a cable to the inside from a mountain bike and put a T handle on it. Never failed again or got stuck.
I worked as a valet years ago and was suprised, as was the customer, to drive up the wrong Ford probe with his key. Right key, wrong car. Turns out that Ford only had about 5 different sets of keys for all probes that year. Ford has lost their way.
Buy a Thatcham full steering wheel lock, it covers the whole wheel & it can't be removed, a thief would need a grinder & about 60mins to get it off. So they won't steal it. Don't buy any other spindly clutch wheel lock, easily removed. I've had mine 20yrs & cost £100, now £75. The car locks now are easily hacked in a minute.
The best video I've ever seen was "safestyle gabba windows" and they turned that advert into a proper rave tune but SafeStyle put in a copyright claim the turds 🙁 in my efforts to find it I even found the bloke who made it and he said "nah mate I've lost the original video I might have the bits of footage somewhere but no chance could I throw it together and make the exact same video again" 😥 fuck SafeStyle 😣
These days you can have a solid iron bar that you can place in front of the rear doors, they can unlock it, but there's no way of opening the doors. The solid iron bar mounts and locks onto the tow bar. The slide door on the side has something similar but that's only accesible from the inside
That's why always weld my doors shut and keep grinder with me always and also i take my tires off, battery, starter motor and the whole van with me when i leave it parked. So basically i put a traffic cone with the picture of the van there, so my van is parked there in spirit. :)
Just shows what in the hell are the manufacturers thinking of when they build them and make it that easy to get in to or steal? May as well just leave them unlocked and a sign please help yourselves!
Other European brands that share body styles also have a issue on the rear handles all you need is a screwdriver and know where to pierce something which disables the central locking and some cases the alarm, had 4 vans done at services while we stopped for lunch ranging from a 08 to a 22 plate all done within 25 mins emptied ...
WTF, if that is the case. Why haven't Ford improve the security of their vans. Come on Ford, you should know better and improve your locking system. Sorry for your lost of possession mate!
Now just so he can gain customers that he can only serve, by selling them an additional locking system, within his area, he just posted this "How To" for all the thieves, who didn't have a clue, until now. the guy is a real f genius.

This drives the screwdriver into the locking mechanism and hard enough to drive the whole assembly free from the sheet metal door.
Then just rotate the entire mechanism and pop the lock.
Vice grips in case you need more leverage on the screwdriver to rotate it.
I've been sleeping in my van the last few nights. Now I know why I keep getting visitors.
Thanks for the help man! But now I don't know what to do with these 42 vans...
Well done ! I’ve had my vans outside my house for 20 years and never had a problem , just got done in exactly the same way as your ‘ how to do it ‘ video 🤔 nice one !
meoldmukker same so annoying
So full of shit , It's nothing new mate Its worked on cars since like the 70,s
@@Skippy-id9yt but we're not in the 70's anymore.. vehicles should of got a bit more secure by now lol 🙄🤣
@@meoldmukker that's irrelevant when you rip out and turn the barrel , and nothing to do with your your first comment ,your here for a troll, see ya ✌️
Thanks. My load is less secure thanks to videos like these!
Only thing worse than a vertical video is a vertical video converted to horizontal so it can't even be maximized. Fail.

You should just title this Thief Ford Transit Break-in Class. The thieves really appreciate this!
Ive been eyeing a Transit around my way with a load of Festool tools in it, Now I know how to get in.
Cheers
uCuckingFunts ! any update?
With my Ford E250, you could use ANY key to gain access. Yes even a house key.
Buddy of mine was trying use a drill but I was iffy about the noise ..thanks for the tip!
David de la Cruz lol Love it!
Same method for vw's from the 80's.
It's cool u posted that!
You made my life a lot easier. Thanks for helping a brother out!
Sister in your case

Wonder how he knows?
You would have hoped that security design flaws like these would have been eradicated by now, the tool used might have progressed from the old screwdriver in the metal skin by the door lock trick but it’s still basic. Slam locks or deadlocks are now as important as insurance and tax if you have a van
That still works on Toyotas up to the early 2000's big body style.
It is bloody ridiculous that vans are still being sold with such poor security
Thanks for the tip! I no longer carry around my Transit keys... I just use pliers to unlock my Transit door locks.
He can't have lost anything as "no tools are left in this vehicle overnight"
Just taught a million people something they didn't know
Next week, where’s best place to sell all the tools you’ve stolen
Thank you for educating thieves.
The thieves already know this: that's how he got educated.
Cheers for showing us this new trick 👌
You can do the same with a crown Vic because they are not chipped
Breaking the window only takes 1 second
But it sets off the alarm, and even if it doesn't it is noisey as fuck.
There's no goodies in the cab, all the money is in the back
Thanks for the tip mate, sorry for the hassle
Even better mate theres master keys you can buy online for 50quid that open and disable central locking on transits 👍
And where do I get one of them? What they called and how much? 👍
What the thieves going to nick - Safestyle windows?
“I said you buy one you get one free…”
We have Ford Transits here in America but we have no idea they can get broken into that easy. Thanks for sharing.
lol, this video should be banned in the US then, since Americans are unable to resist stealing shit.
Trying to replace the ignition switch actuator, six hours 😜
Must try that one thanks lol

Hitman101 D top tip there.
LOL
Buy a Thatcham full steering wheel lock, it covers the whole wheel & it can't be removed, a thief would need a grinder & about 60mins to get it off. So they won't steal it. Don't buy any other spindly clutch wheel lock, easily removed. I've had mine 20yrs & cost £100, now £75. The car locks now are easily hacked in a minute.
You buy one you get one free I said you buy one you get one free
Ford can’t afford decent locks
Can anyone give advice on how to protect your van better? Additional locks etc.
Wow. Ford takes fail to a new level.
Remember the old days on ford's they would steal the petrol cap and get a key cut one key done all locks.
thanks mate. time to find out what's in my neighbor's transit van :) can you please do huyndai i load next. liked and subscribed.
Optional extra that is very costly

Now just so he can gain customers that he can only serve, by selling them an additional locking system, within his area, he just posted this "How To" for all the thieves, who didn't have a clue, until now. the guy is a real f genius.
