Now that I rewatch Sword Eyes, I start to think that Tsurugi is in a lot of ways, very similar to Dan from Shounen Gekiha. Both of them are childish at first, but they grow with companions. Dan and Tsurugi both have a white "rival" to defeat (Yuuki and Yaiba respectively) , only to find out at the end that the rival is not the true enemy. And their decks both use Astral Dragons XDXD

well last time in heroes the made it rival red against red. I think that they tried a different perspective and got a negative rating. So it probably because fans prefer red vs white
