    Congrats to the Blitz Boks! Big Props to all the players that contributed that weren't on the field on this day. Rosko Specman, Cecil Afrika, Seabelo Senatla, Kwagga Smith, Branco du Sreez, and Selvyn Davids to name a few.

      +Ash hole haha still living in 2017.. Did u forget the great game the "out of form" boks had the last time the 2 teams met? stop being an ash hole and give credit where credit is due!

      Fair enough, well done Blitzboks. Springboks? Still not sure where they stand. England are low on confidence, maybe it's not such a huge achievement to beat them.
      And we're most definitely not living in 2017. This year's All Blacks are potentially even better than last year's edition.

    • @rosak8480
      @rosak8480 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are not as stupid to think the springboks are back to winning ways. We are just proud of how they pulled things back against England. They played well and you haters just don't want to admit that. And you talk about the ABs being potentially better than last year, So is the boks.

    This is what a statistically sound point format looks like if you want to give 16 teams at least 1 point:
    1. 30 pts
    2. 24 pts
    3. 20 pts
    4. 17 pts
    5. 14 pts
    6. 12 pts
    7. 11 pts
    8. 11 pts
    9. 9 pts
    10. 7 pts
    11. 5 pts
    12. 5 pts
    13. 3 pts
    14. 2 pt
    15. 1 pt
    16. 1 pt
    It emphasizes reaching the semi-finals while also giving the appropriate series log reward that matches the psychological incentive teams have for winning a gold medal match.

    I must admit, I thought Fiji deserved the series, they were near unbeatable for the last few tournaments, but as a South African, I will applaud the Blitzbokke for taking their opportunity when it presented itself, that is a mark of a champion. Its doubly impressive given that they weren't in their best form for this tournament.

    SA showed us the importance of consistency and the importance of starting the series on a high note...Fiji came back into the series after a slow start at the end it costed them..as for SA welldone well deserved.. looking forward to the young stars coming into the team for next year

    @LiveForever96 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    WHY OH WHY? do you insist on putting the result in the video title? It's likely those watching haven't seen the tournament and therefore likely don't know the result. It kills any suspense and probably reduces viewing figures.

  • @tawaketuitokatuadua657
    @tawaketuitokatuadua657 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Well done SA, you were consistent and deserve your tournament win. But series title should have been Fiji's. The refereeing in their quarter final game against England was rubbish. A clear knock on, two forward passes by England leading up to their winning try, all missed (ignored?) by Mr Referee and his linesmen.

    • @callumscott953
      @callumscott953 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      One of the first words in your post reflect why SA were series champs. Consistency. Its a series, its about who is best over a long period of time. SA were consistently the best side in the series this year, they never finished lower than 4th the entire series with 2 golds, 3 silvers, 3 bronze and 2 4th place. Fiji on the other hand, had a series of 2 halves really. 5 gold, no silver, 1 bronze and 1 4th place. Getting knocked out in the quarters 3 times. Fiji lost the series because of the first 3 legs. Not because of 1 or 2 calls. Every side gets 1 or 2 calls that doesn't go their way

    • @tawaketuitokatuadua657
      @tawaketuitokatuadua657 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alfa&Omega 00000 I would have, if Fiji got defeated fair and square..and what makes it more painful is that they were only separated by 2 points on the final points table...But it doesn't matter now. Callum Scott is right. SA has been consistent and we didn't help ourselves by kicking possession away on crucial times in that quarter final. Looking forward to the World Cup to get some Rugby justice.

      @bunnychowmuncher 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We've had tough decisions and rub of the green many times. Fiji were responsible for their own demise. A ref can only do so much but a whistle cannot make you miss tackles.

    • @tawaketuitokatuadua657
      @tawaketuitokatuadua657 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brendon Joseph they tackled till they couldn't run anymore, hope you watched game...but you are right, sometimes refs make calls (on this case a lack of it) that are contentious. Doesn't make it right as players deserve better.

      How was their win against Fiji pointless, its the only reason the Blitzbokke could have won the series, that's quite a pointful win in the context of the competition. You know what would have been pointless? A final between SA and Fiji, there would have been no stakes, Fiji would already have wrapped up the series if they had made the final.

    • @BeardALaCarte
      @BeardALaCarte 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Few things, its open to interpretation to the referees. Woud it have made a difference seeing the scrum half was on his way? Was the counter ruck imminent? Plus his hand remained on the ball as he placed it, he just gave it a shove at the end of the placement. And if the rolling it after placement doesn't seem legitimate, its the same as offloading on the floor.

      Not that many people are interested in rugby in SA anymore tbh. Sport in general is dumb, especially in the south african context. Lets watch a bunch of sweaty men handle a ball for two hours (and pour millions of dollar into it) whilst the country is up in flames Lol. (And i am south african)

      Null Convey country is not up in flames. We had a difficult time with corrupt president but we cleaning up again. Not many countries can say that. Stop being negative and selling us short to the world it doesn’t help, only perpetuates past problems. And I am South African

      The country is not up in flames, we have serious problems, but every country has their problems. Also, on what basis do you say people in SA are not interested in rugby anymore, I don't agree with that. And I am South African.

    • @oumasannie1

      SA, the 8th ranked team in the world beat England, the 3rd ranked. Considering that we have a new coach, new captain, new front row, new second row, new 3rd row, new backline and it's their first game together, with as many as SEVEN new caps in the team, I would consider it a step in the right direction seeing how awful we have been over the past 5 years.

    • @raubi1549

      Fred I agree the All Blacks are way better than anyone else currently but the Springboks are a young and inexperienced team. Look what the Wallabies managed, because of their experienced players. It will take at least 2 years for the new Springbok team to reach their full potential.
