Works in a garage in the late 80s early 90s that had an 85 c30 similar to yours. It had a 454. Yours bring back some memories. It was a good rig. Good luck.
Great Wrecker .you have a lot of cool stuff .I got a 68 chevy ramp truck last year its the best thing for hauling .I use it for cars trucks and anything else that needs hauled .I bought some 30 ft I beams hauled them in no problem .hauled all my round bales of hay don't know how I got along without it.
Hydraulic wheel-lift of manual lift? I have a 86 with a holmes trooper 1100 bed (hydraulic boom) with the add-on wheel lift but my wheel lift raises with the winch line. Would like to put a hydraulic wheel lift on it since the bed does have a xtra cut out for 4th hydraulic lever
It has a small hand crank that lift/lowers the boom. You can't do this with a load on it. You also have to put slack in the boom support cables to extend the boom.
@@delrayjyd9676 thanks! I seen the cable and someone else told me there was only one winch so I was trying to figure out how that worked . I've seen them with hydraulics and I've seen very simple ones with just a chain and hook welded to the upright but I wasn't sure how this worked with cable holding it up
First truck I ever worked with. A JOY...! Especially for those of you who don't know....IF i'm not mistaken, you crank the boom up and down manually BY HAND on this monster. The one I drove was like that anyway. Does this have the little electric control box or hydraulic operated WL? Hardcore truck man!
Man id love to have one of those Wait wait wait No i probably shouldnt have one of those id be done hooked up to one these idiot drivers cars around here and took em for a ride
Man that is a straight truck,no rust anywhere, that's a lucky find, you did good, thanks for the video.

Good looking Wrecker. Great find.
That truck looks great, if those are the original cab corners and rockers even better.

I like it! ...Newk from Kentucky
I'm trying to figure out how the 440 works with one winch? Doesn't it lift the boom and have a line on it also?

The boom lift is with crank but the winch is PTO drive. The wheel lift is electric over hydraulic.
Like the old blue. Wrecker
Why is your latest video on putting the 350 in the wrecker not for us to view says it's a private video
is that a cradle snatcher in the back ground?
Yes it is.
I wish I could find an old Holmes push bumper like that for my truck.

When you work on the clear coat make sure and video it .my 86 chevy is having the same issue.
