Sir, I salute You. Now its time to test the welds and heat cycle the engine many times to ensure the welds are not going to crack from just normal driving. Damn, it sure came out looking nice.
@@OvertravelX Really? That's good to know. Thank you. The problem I see is the LS has evenly spaced intake and exhaust ports and the 4.0L has them staggered, like a small block chevy or chrysler. I would have to buy some cheep chY-knees aluminum heads and cut them. But that wouldn't work either because the sbc has five head bolts per cyl. and the 4.0L has four.
@@harveylee65 I can't wait to find it. But with a 4in bore and almost 4in stroke and the amount of power those heads make on shorter stroke applications and if it has enough carb, I would guess around 275-325hp and 250-400lb/ft crank.
@@philip4x4guy no, i'm not at all, all my running cars are efi. Also this isn't mine, im just speculating. You cant deny there is less to a carb system then an efi, otherwise you would have seen more efi in the 30s
Would love to see some dyno numbers if you get the chance. Thins thing would be even more incredible with boost lol
The long awaited update. I love this build, my dad had an old F150 with a 300 in it so i grew up loving that engine, so this is super cool
Great sound, inspirational build. Thanks for sharing.
Cool. I have always wanted to see a multiple carb setup using 2 barrel motorcraft carbs. Sounds terrific.
Sounds great! Hats off to you sir it’s quite a feat!
Sweet, looks like you are the first to have their LS headed Ford 300 L6 to run and it sounds good!
Congratulations! Glad to see this one in the homestretch!

Diggin that Art Deco fuel pump block-off.
Wow. Great job. Runs nice and smooth, idles good. What an amazing feat. I've been wanting to do this with a Jeep 4.0L.
Bore spacing is almost identical, 4.400" for the LS, 4.380" for the 4.0.

Balance pipe between intakes ? Merge headers to make it 1 engine instead of 2 seperate 3 cylinder engines ?
Thats just flat out awesome man!! Congratulations on the build.
Wow man love that motor. I want one.
Congratulations! Great to see it running finally.
Is there any chance you are going to have that engine dynoed? That would be awesome to know what kind of power it is putting out!
Thats awesome! Great job!
Going to need a good transmission cause this thing is making some torque , more than a 351
This thing is sweet. Thanks for sharing
Wow, that's what I've been waiting to hear!!! Very cool and well done! Can't wait to see what you do next?
I love it. The other guys doing this tried to go the Hi tech route. Good job.
Updates?
This thing has to make at least 400 on the dyno… it sounds SICK.
Impressive!! Excellent work!!
That sounds like a tractor on steroids…. I love it!!!!
Nice work!
Excellent to see this running!
Cool as hell! I hate LS motors, definitely don't hate this.
What ever happened to this?
Sounds great
Love the sound. Did you keep the stock cam?
@@JoyfulNoiseGarge no its a howards
3 ac delco spark plugs 3 motorcraft
It seems that the cummins vt8 460 was not included with the sherman you ran
What are you going to put it in?
Have you gotten any run time to see if it get hot under a driving load?
What are the torq and hp numbers
Did you see a dyno?
@@playanddisplay3636 no I missed it

Both numbers are greater than 0 and less than 1,000. I have inside sources.
@@76629online LMFAO You're killing me brother.
I’m trying to run two 2100 carbs did you use 2 exact matches or are they slightly different?
That are exactly the same.
What happened to the efi?
I never had an EFI system.
Nice work! Why not go with efi? Just curious
If i had to guess it would have something to do with how this one is running and the efi ones arn't yet
@@toddmccarter45
I guess I'm not sure what you mean by that
@@philip4x4guy efi has all kinds of wires and computers, carbs just want to run unless there is something way wrong with them
@toddmccarter45 so you're afraid of efi, I was too till I started learning about it. Both have positives and negatives, I try to know a bit about both
