This is the problem with all 'company' recorded music...
This album seems to pull her personality out of the song.
I had an amazing time bringing to life the love story behind my latest song, "In Dreams." I knew that Billy Keane would be the perfect match for the video as we have been long-time friends. One of my favorite parts of the filming process was riding the horse. I rode horses back when I was younger growing up in West Virginia. It was so nostalgic to experience that again! Billy, along with the production crew and Sacred Dog Farm animals, made this video so fun, even in the Tennessee heat.

Hey, everybody here complaining about how much better the “authentic” version was-you realize being poor and working your way up to a musical career is hard as fuck right? Y’all wish you could see every artist starve to death in the streets so you can feel something real-because you don’t DO anything real. This-is a hustle. It’s the real result of hard ass work and wanting to get the comfort and recognition that is proper for tremendous and precious and singular talent. If you liked Sierra better when she wasn’t hustling like this, pay her more! She ain’t dumb. She’s thriving. Hell yes Ms. Sierra!

I love the version on GemsOnVHS, such a talent on the guitar and that voice, simply perfect. This is fabulous too but in a studio sound way, great engineer, sounds like I am there.

Another outstanding song. I fell down the SF rabbit-hole about a week ago, and I've been recommended her to everyone I know. Nice catchy tunes with simple, perfect arrangements, great instrumentation and a voice that is just so pure, and purely American. What a talent. I'm hooked forever.

I love this song and the video is amazing. But the gems on VHS version has some live nervous soul to it that I feel the recording has lost I still love it. But I find myself heading back to the other version every now and again as the energy to that version has lightning in a bottle. Looking forward to new album!

Final word on the Gems version comparison...no one can cover Sierra except herself. Her music is personal. Two versions of a song / one Sierra. She is what makes both versions great. The Gems version is very less than perfect. It would never make a studio release. But she as the artist is why anyone feels emotion for either song. What is bringing you joy is her... the artist with a touching sound... not any song arrangement. It's not the product. It's the person. She does great work, and there will be alot more to come. Music that covers all range of the emotional spectrum.
