  • In today’s video I take you to some typical grocery stores you may see in Costa Rica.
    1. Mini Super
    2. Mas x Menos - standard larger grocery store
    3. Maxi Pali
    4. Automercado
These stores are located in Jaco but are comparable to what you may find depending on where you live in the country!
As always, I hope this information is helpful if you are in the journey to move to Costa Rica.
    AND OF COURSE!
If you will be needing assistance with all areas of your move, our team is ready to help you!
You can visit our website at: www.lasarahelena.com/

I live in Costa Rica as well, but in Tres Rios. Más X Menos, Pali and Maxi Pali are all owned by Walmart International. Más X Menos would be similar to the Neighborhood Markets in the US. It’s a very nice store.

I went to visit Costa Rica in March of 2020 . My family is from there infact 95% of them live there. And so when I was there I was taken to a automarcado and the way it was described seem to me like a wholefoods Except it was like a regular supermarket with wholefoods prices lol I still do not understand it. I tell my aunt who shops there Why would you pay three times more then pali or mega super for a item . I get some items that you can't find anywhere else but why lol to each there own I guess. I loved visiting though, it was twenty years since I step onto that soil only sad part was that they had so many restrictions that seeing family was tough
