Farmer’s markets are nice because it helps local farmers/merchants. I also prefer to shop where locals shop😉

So true with this!! We have become close to the vendors there because we see them each week and support them. I am grateful for them!

GREAT ADVICE ! Buying your fruits & veggies at the supermarket will DEFINITELY cost you MORE $$$ !
Also, going to the Farmer's Market is a great way to PRACTICE your Spanish, and make friends with the vendors.
The more you IMMERSE yourself in Costa Rican culture & customs, the HAPPIER you will be as an EXPAT !

    Hi Zoe,
What an interesting food Video! my wife and I are also selling our house at coco to move to the South... for now we will buy around Jaco but I saw Dominicana for the first time in some videos and it is very nice... now we are still in Italy and we only come on vacation... but soon we will come to live in Costa Rica and it will be very useful to have the food hacks to do the shopping... we want to eat healthy and spend the right amount so the farmer's market is good.. Thank you!!!

Hi Andrea, I am glad these food hacks supported you! Thats exciting that you are thinking about moving more southern CR and also thinking about living here full time! If you would like me to connect you to any professionals/companies to help make your move easier (realtor, residency person, vehicle guy, shipping company, travel agency, ect), let me know and I can link you up to them. I prefer the south over the north personally- I find it to be more lush down here:) blessing with your up coming adventure!

You are very kind, yes I will very gladly ask you for contact information
that you have professionals.... We are still organizing
And it will be very helpful. I too think the south is more lush from what little we have been able to visit for now. But we are happy and excited and can't wait to be THERE! I will be coming at the end of September to sign the sale of the casà del Coco and will stay a few days in Jaco with friends to see some land for purchase ! Talk to you soon and thank you so much for your availability.

@@zoewilliamson_costarica unfortunately it won't matter where you choose to live along the coast, the influx of Americans and Canadians is going to turn any beach community into a very touristy place. CR is doomed and yes I am part of the problem. Luckily Nosara has a very organized community that is doing everything to preserve its nature.
