The bonus resources per kill during aoe with deaths design feels nice to me.
You’re marking your prey and reaping them. It’s very in-flavor for an assassin archetype class lore wise.

Oh no, it seems like i have missed the previous discussions about tanks and healers ;O, but its damn good to have these discussions while farming FATE gemstones in FF14

Just started ffxiv and even though I have no clue what a lot of what you guys talk about really means yet I love these pods, would really appreciate time stamps some day

As a day 1 machinist, and in defense of Flamethrower. There’s something extremely satisfying in pulling out that flamethrower and doing massive damage while urinating flames on everything on the screen. Try it on a 84” 4k tv.

Lancers in 1.0 *did* have a slightly longer range on their actions (Auto attacks didn't exist)

Monk doesn't have a ranged attack because we already have five.buttons for when we can't punch the enemy at a given moment (Thunderclap, Meditation, Formshift, Anatman, Six-sided Star). We are better off than other melee when we have to disengage because we have the best ways to keep the GCD rolling.
Yes MNK is the hardest melee to master, easily. Optimal drift rotation requires the most complex flow. Something like NIN has a frontloaded APM every minute and is honestly really dull after that.

Ez way to punish samurai... Is to remove stickers on repeat 123s... It will require more agency for players to know which stickers then need.
Im not sure if putting a timer on stickers would also increase difficulty, or become an annoyance... Just because Im trying to think of times when you'd want to hold 3 stickers... Maybe for realignment... Or maybe during downtime... It might feel too bad or overcapping if youre forced to convert stickers to gauge if they are going to time out...
But toggling stickers might at least punish enough people who kinda lose focus which sticker theyre on... Just because mudras and chi have their own ways of punishing players who press the wrong buttons

Also, nin is fine... Every ogcd has a place and purpose... And theres barely any time to fit more than a single 123 anywhere with mudra uptime...
They even expanded on the water jutsu one to actually be usable because of the potency buff under certain conditions...
Iirc it still needed potency adjustments or at least an autocrit proc because I dont remember if triple raiton raiju still did more damage...
Other than that they just need to fix raiju bloat... Or have mobility tax so there is actually agency when picking a raiju...
More skill charges, animation/skill upgrades or skill swap/change combos... The job is so dependent on mudras that there is hardly any actual weaving... Having some kind of continuation thru skill swap/change would would be cool too... I miss old assassinate/dream within a dream combo

Hum, if they need a reason to give ranged/casters a damage boost, perhaps a deadzone within the target's hitbox, trading off for more damage the further you get from the target.
