9:11 you can only break glass with your knife if you don’t have a melee weapon. Unfortunately, if you have a melee weapon, it makes you use it and if you do it enough times it does wear down your weapon. But I don’t think it reduces the durability by much.
Another good episode. Unfortunately, dog killing is part of this game. When you're in listen mode you can see the scent trail you leave when dogs are around. You can use that to your advantage by placing explosives on that trail which buys you time to reposition yourself for other kills. I hope that helps. Stay the course!

Using any melee weapon to break windows does not wear, break down, or affect the durability of the melee weapon at all, just to clarify.
