    There is beauty in tragedy. The heart will stop beating, but the end is a new beginning. We’ll soar above the skyline of reality and reach towards a love ever after. Grasping onto faith to keep us breathing a little longer, for just one more moment with one another. This night is pulling on my heartstrings. These feelings bring tears to my eyes. To see you leave my world, to leave my side. Hear the angels sing as they embrace you with a warm welcome home. To- morrow the air will be a little colder, but I’ll be sure to breathe for the both of us. And the nights may be a little darker, but I’ll be sure to carry the torch to warm the hearts that never got to feel yours. I can’t hear your voice, but that’s ok cause I can feel you in my heart. One morning I’ll wake up to you. One morning I’ll hear the angels sing. On that morning we won’t be concerned about the weather, nor will we mind where the hands lay on the clock tower. I’ll be sure to write your name in the sand where the waves can’t wash it away. Until then I’ll walk, until then I’ll breathe in your name. Never surrender the dream you had for this world: to love, to forgive, to make something out of nothing. I will hear you. I will feel you forever.

    This isn't said enough about this record, but the bass is produced so well on R&R. It really trips me up when you can't hear ALL the instruments in the band, and 99.9% of bands in this genre drown out the bass. Not ABR though. You actually hear Dustin

    what i love about august burns red is that you don't have to be a christian or really even spiritual at all to get something out of their lyrics. regardless of your personal beliefs, where you come from or who you are they write something that we as humans can all relate to.

    • @mattgraessle7907
      @mattgraessle7907 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      +adam 2 point 0 , That is exactly what christian metal is all about. It's for bringing the word of God to those who may never hear it in any other way. You don't have to be Christian to understand the song or the lyrics, the same way you don't have to be christian to understand Christianity. It's purpose is to tell the world about Christ, and make things easy to relate to.

    • @madeline5138
      @madeline5138 8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I totally agree, Matthew. They don't want to shove Christianity down everyone's throats because they would rather show the love of God and the love in their hearts for the people that need it. I think that's why most people turn away from Christians in the first place because all they hear from them is "turn or burn", but ABR likes to love instead of hate. That's what makes ABR my favorite band, personally.

      Vojtěch Jesus is not fictional thank you! Jesus is real as you and me. He's coming back. Now wouldn't that be foolish to say that nonsense and he returns. Oh, what a fool you'll look like when you're crying... Be careful with your words! Majority of us won't live to see our grandchildren born(those of younger generations-90s). This is the last few year this Earth has left. Instead of cursing and blaspheming against God. Take a good look around you and can you not obviously tell that there's too much evil and hatred in this world to not accept the fact that everything that's happening today is prophesied in the Bible??? Everything we're witnessing is all part of the Grand Plan that God has foretold, since hundreds and thousands of years ago.

      Aubre Powell and it's sentiments like this that make the choice of not having faith so easy. Prophesize the coming all you want - it won't make you more right than the past hundreds who have claimed the same. Believing something should or will happen does not make it fact - even if you believe you are led by someone who would call themselves a prophet. Though I suppose if you say that the world is coming to an end for long enough - it's bound to happen by pure chance isn't it?

    I have heard this song over and over again for the past few years, i have always loved the way the music was arranged, it was a banger. But it was only until recently that the song brought a million tears to my eyes, when I actually listened to the lyrics... My wife and I lost our son to a stillborn pregnancy back in '16. It absolutely devastated my wife, it has taken my wife all her strength to grow from it. Time we go on vacation near or around a beach, she always makes a point to write his name in the sand. It's always a somber moment for us. I've always felt like i haven't really grieved him properly, and I've resented myself for it. Until moments like today when out of nowhere, I'm bawling in my office here at work.. It feels like wounds I didn't know existed are healing. I have this song to thank for that. After a lot of trouble, we are finally expecting in November. Thank you for this beautiful song.

    Only ABR knows how to write these godlike endings to their songs that gives me serious goosebumps every time I listen, and they always build a perfect lead-up to that ending that just makes you think "Holy smokes, they just made something incredible again". This ending, Twenty-One Grams and Spirit Breaker are a few that I feel like that about.

      Nothing speaks to you more than Metal when it comes to music. People cant get past the screaming which is unfortunate cuz thats where the emotion is driven from. if you took out the screaming the songs lose the power they posess. My wife bought me VIP tickets to meet these guys. which was probably the best gift ever, these guys helped me so much in my addiction battle Im honestly not sure I couldve gotten through it without them. So I was thrilled to share my story with them. Im not a religious man in any sense, although people classify them as "Christian Metal" I have to argue that because they dont push their beliefs but they write from the heart, and past experiences which is powerful.
      I wish these guys all the health and success they deserve and hope they dont stop writing. they are melodic masters when it comes to writing music and hope they never cave to a record label just to get more sales.
      Keep rockin boys!!

    There is beauty in tragedy
    The heart won't stop beating,
    For the end is a new beginning
    Where sorrow pulls the skyline of reality
    And restarts a love ever after
    As we grasp beyond defeat
    So keep us breathing a little longer a little longer
    For just one moment with one another with one another
    This night is falling on my hearts shame
    These feelings bring tears to my eyes
    Just take away my world,
    Leave my side
    Hear the angels sing,
    As I embrace you with a warm welcome home
    With a warm welcome home
    Hear the angels sing
    Hear the angels sing
    Tomorrow, the air will be a little colder
    But I'll be sure to breathe for the both of us.
    And the nights
    May be a little darker
    But I'll be sure to carry the torch to warm the hearts
    They're never gonna have to feel yours
    I can hear your voice,
    I can't hear your voice
    But that's okay
    'Cause I can feel you in my heart
    I can hear your voice,
    I can't hear your voice
    But that's okay
    'Cause I can feel you in my heart
    One morning I'll wake up to you,
    One morning I'll hear the angels sing.
    On that morning we won't be worried about the weather
    Nor will we might wither his life
    While the clocks alarm.
    I'll be sure to write your name in the sun
    Where the waves can't wash it away
    I'll be sure to write your name in the sun
    Where the waves can't wash it away
    Until then I'll walk,
    Until then I'll breathe in your name!
    Never surrender the dream you had for this world to love, to forgive
    To make something out of nothing!
    I will feel you, I will hear you forever!

    What I love about ABR is that you don't need be religious to get something out of their songs. Some bands get too preachy for my taste. Although this song is preaching you still can have a different view point of what the lyrics can mean. Like losing a loved one, not hearing their voice yet feeling them in your heart...idk gg.

    • @danielbarrios266
      @danielbarrios266 10 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Sure, you can have a different viewpoint of what the lyrics mean, but that doesn't change the actual meaning of the lyrics. August burns red made it clear that they sing for jesus. Expect for future "preachy" songs

    • @blunty6feetunder
      @blunty6feetunder 10 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      I've actually seen them on many occasions (on Facebook) mention that their music is for everyone so what you're saying doesn't necessarily mean anything. Whether you believe in God or not you'll get something out of their lyrics. That's the point I was trying to make. They can sing for Jesus Christ but I'm happy they're not shoving it down my throat like some other Christian bands I've heard, which is why they're one of my favorites.

    • @danielbarrios266
      @danielbarrios266 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      ***** No they are not doing the opposite, and as a "christian" as you say you are, you should be able to see how they are serving the lord. They are not pulling guns out and threatening people. They are simply singing for the Lord, no one is obligated to listen to them

I listend to the album listend to these lyrics and cried. Few days later you guys played warped in Arizona was a hard set to watch with all that was going on.
    Then your tour after that you played the Marquee then this song came on I smiled and with the tears in my eyes I danced and ran into the pit

    Best part of this song is how they start the main riff in the minor scale when the song starts off in a more sad nature. But as the song progresses until the end the same riff is turned into the major scale in the end to turn on a more positive vibe with the lyrics following the theme.
    Really underlooked detail.
