People apparently forget that in mahomes first year as a starter in 2018 a coin decided his first afc championship as the patriots won the coin toss and scored on their first possession in overtime. The chiefs asked for the rule to be changed and the bills were a part of the league that voted NO to changing the overtime rules. Then fast forward one chiefs superbowl later and a few appearances. The chiefs get the coin toss and beat Allen in overtime. The bills then request for the overtime rule to be changed cause it is “unfair” but when it happened to the chiefs they didn’t care 😂

Exactly. I think it may come down to the defense. The Chiefs' defense is top-notch and healthy, the Bills' defense is injured and depleted. Given that Josh Allen is known for running the ball, this may end up determining the game.

SORRY but Acho is wrong... Josh Allen was not the better QB in the 13 second 2020 season Divisional Game... Allen and the Bills offense turned the ball over on downs 4 times against a mid-pack Chiefs Defense... Mahomes and the Chiefs offense turned it over on downs twice, and the Chiefs kicker left 4 points on the field or there would have been no reason for the 13 second drive or OT... Easily checked facts, and sad, but true...
Everyone came away from that game knowing Josh out played pat except chiefs fans. Josh had better numbers and more TD’s until pat got an extra possession in OT.

His number 1 defense stopped Mahomes on downs only twice... You can blame it on the defense, but Allen was still stopped 4 times, twice as many times as Mahomes, and the Chiefs had the mid-pack defense while the Bills had the number 1 defense at the time... Sad, but true...

The 2021 divisional game he outplayed Mahomes and then his defense blew a lead with 13 seconds left which isn't on him. In terms of individual play and pure talent/skill. This is ridiculous. Josh Allen can be compared to Mahomes once he maybe wins a SB and MVP or at least gets AT LEAST ONE all pro selection
The game means a lot. And the majority of this conversation was spot on. Especially the acknowledgement that if Allen was on the Chiefs to start his career with what Mahomes had, he'd have those titles too.
Mahomes is more successful. He's the better quarterback. But Allen is the most talented player in the game... he doesn't have the accolades which is largely rotten luck. He was better in that 13 second game. Had he won it, he'd have his title, but the coaching and defense blew it. It was a perfect example of the best player on the field doesn't always win the game.
When teams win superbowls, we don't use those titles as leverage for who is the best player at their position EXCEPT for QB. We don't say that Harrison Butker is the better kicker than Justin Tucker in the NFL because he won titles. We don't deny Barry Sanders greatness without him winning a title, but we do at QB. It's a team sport. If Allen went into that KC game and was outplayed, ok...sure it's his fault....but it wasnt. If that 13 second game went the other way (and it should have), he would be 4-1 against Mahomes.
The Bills injuries are a problem in this coming game. If healthy, I'd have high confidence in a win, but it's going to be a nail biter .

The KC offense is not the 38 point a game offense from a couple years ago. Bills defense have enough to keep them to about 20 points or so, which about what their averaging the last couple months. Its still going to come down to Allen and the offense being able to play well and score.
If bills couldnt do it with a top 1 offense, they definitely cannot do it now. They struggled all season, yes so did the chiefs, but they almost didn't even make the playoffs. Not even mentioning the injuries Buffalo has

You announcers keep making this about Josh. Its not! This is about coaching! Josh follows the game plan just like Mahomes does. This is about coaching, coaching and more coaching. McDermott has lost to the Chiefs NOT Allen. If the coach can not produce a game plan that can beat the chiefs, then the Bills will loose, Allen or not. MVP's , SB's all those were won by coaching, not a player.

idk why james kept including burrow in the whole binoculars joke when 1.) burrow has already beaten mahomes once in the AFFCG, and it was in arrowhead. 2.) burrow has already beaten josh allen in the divisional, and it was in buffalo. he's 5-1 against the two of them in his career. burrow and allen have the same amount of playoff wins. burrow earned those 5 in 2 healthy seasons, other two season ending injury. allen been healthy but underachieving. the gap between burrow and mahomes is rings. the gap is smaller, but theres a gap between burrow and allen as well.

@@thekillabum i think so, but i’m also not entirely convinced he hasn’t passed him already. he hasn’t been awarded the 2nd MVP yet but the general consensus is he’s secured it. 2 MVPs is basically HOF territory, the only thing holding back lamar is his playoff resume. if he makes the SB win or lose, i think he’s indisputably top 3. i would say top 2 but i’m a bengals fan and bias won’t let me 😂

As a Bills fan… right now this is a valid opinion… let’s hope that Allen finishes this season the way that everyone knows he can. We got worked by the bengals last year in playoffs… but that 13 seconds OT loss to KC has nothing to with Josh or the way he played but everything to do with coaching decisions… Allen was playing like a man possessed in the 2021 playoffs

My thoughts is that if the wind blows at 15mph or over. The Bills have a huge advantage. That stadium is a wind vortex and Pat only played in there once.
There are certain spots on that field that doesn't allow touch passes.

@@billeh60 It's not a temperature thing. It's how the wind swirls around that stadium. If you watch tracker data you will see on deep balls WRs will run back and forth a good 5 yards to compensate for the ball trajectory. That's not a joke.
One of the endzones has a dead spot that pushed the ball straight down. Kickers use it all the time to pin plays deep. Most passers can't throw in that corner of the field at all.
Mahomes played once in that stadium. He doesn't know were he can and can't throw the ball. I expect a few sailed balls especially on long bombs... The type that Allen throws picks .
