Fun Foam Stamps

  • I've been meaning to try this for ages, but I'm finally getting around to try it! In this video, I show you how I make my own stamps from fun foam. All you need is some fun foam sheets that you can pick up at Walmart or your local hobby store, a pen, some scissors and/or a craft knife, and some Aleene's Tack it Over and Over glue. I stamped with an ink pad and an acrylic block, but you don't really need to use a block if you don't have one. And you can stamp with acrylic paint if you want instead of an ink pad. These were fun and easy! Hope you'll give it a try, too!

I have seen people use these, but never found a video that shows you how to create them, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video, which is so informative and makes it look like anyone can achieve this and which is also easy to buy. Tfs xo

+Elizabeth Naisbitt thank you! Yes, I had seen people use cut shapes to make these, much like the swirlies I did, but I hadn't seen anyone use the pen to make the relief drawings in them, so I thought that could be useful if it worked, so I'm glad it did! They are super easy, so I hope you'll give it a try! Thanks for watching!

That's very cool free hand. I find that mounting the stamp on more foam makes a better impression on paper

I couldn't find 'fun foam' so I used one thick and one thin household cleaning cloths (that soak up water) stuck onto anything more solid such as cardboard = they worked OK to stamp with but of course you can't scribble nice details into them!

I really enjoy making these so cheap to do. It was great to see your designs. We have used the fun foam stickers as well to make these :) thanks for sharing.

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+Creatively Amy yes, I've seen that, too! I just picked up a pack of 50 of these sheets, so I'm glad I'll have these on hand whenever I want a custom stamp. Maybe I'll try to make a whole alphabet! Thanks for watching!

Love your stamp designs! The star flower is really nice, lovely cloud too. I see you’re using Tim Holtz scissors, I sure love mine. And I’d never heard of the ‘over and over’ glue! Must find that stuff. Very clever foam stamp storage method too. So glad I found your channel!

  • @rfmh2081

What kind of block of plastic is this where you glued the foam?

    •  ปีที่แล้ว

How thick is the foam that you use?

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

+jayteadesigns it's not very thick. Just the cheap fun foam packs that you can get at Walmart. I don't have access to these right now, so I can't measure, but I'd guess 1/16 inch thick? Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
