    Very nice idea! If you stick one flower over another one, it would be much thicker and the ink wont catch the edges. Awesome!

    Wow, I'm SO glad you shared this, my stamps/stencils are too big for some of my projects, what a great way to get size appropriate stamps, AND it's stuff I have on hand! Thanks SO much for sharing!

    I think the center of the swirl stamp is very nice!

      Ingenious idea...thanks. Now I'll be recycling the bottles and saving the caps. Oh wait. Watched a plastic bead making video last night, so now I'll be cutting up the bottles to make paper beads with the plastic instead. They are really pretty when the plastic is colored with copics or sharpies and even prettier with a coating of stickles on first and then inked over after the glitter coat dries. I may be able to cancel my recycling service soon :)

    This is the best tutorial on foam stamping!! I love that you used the thicker foam to make them! SO EASY! All the other tutorials show wooden blocks, corks, or bottle caps! I'm like, where am I gonna get those??? Lol. So excited, I am doing this project today so running off to Michael's now for foam!! THANK YOU!!! Excellent!

      save bottle caps from milk jugs, pop/soda bottles or from your OJ or juice, baby food jar lids. -- all kind of lids. and I used a cardboard box and cut it up as bases.

    I love making my own things like this! I have some foam shapes but non of the foam sticky back like that! Would love to have some to make other stamps too! Great video! Have a blessed day :0)

    These are terrific. I got some sticky back foam shapes and made stamps with wooden blocks, but I also really like the idea of using bigger pieces of foam for the base.

    Perhaps one can glue 2 or 3 flowers together to achieve more hight and therefore one has more distance from the inkpad to the base block?

  • @lindacarreira8106
    @lindacarreira8106 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great job! I use foam board for my base..the thinner shapes you could stack to make them stamp better. You could also stack your base to make it easier to hold. Love your videos!

  • @WendyInMD
    @WendyInMD 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Super cute! You can also stack the shapes to double or triple thickness if they're very thin. This works especially well with the pre-cut shapes because they're all the same size.

    Use tape on the back of the stamp, cut a piece of tape twice as long as you need, tape down to the back half way then stick some of the tape to its self and end on the other half of the stamp. Looking sideways it should look like a T with the top of the t on the back of the stamp. Iloggles joggles makes them for her stamps.

    It was fun watching you make the swirly stamps, I daughter made something similar to yours, but with hers she was able to paint wood grain onto a rolling cabinet from her college dorm. Do you by any chance have a pair of fine point tweezers, I think those would help with the tiny things.

    This is obviously an old video but if someone wants to replicate the swirl, try using scissors that come in a nail kit, that’ll help get into the smaller areas.

    Great ideas... I was thinking you could glue the small stamps to a. Piece of cardboard. I 'm definitely going to make some stamps! Thanks

    Wonderful! I love your ideas. I have made some of these using Tim Holtz Alterations dies, Frameworks, like the crosshatch, honeycomb, etc. Really cool to do that because you have a stamp of the frameworks, plus all the cut out pieces to stick onto another backing piece. I have used the acrylic packaging to stick my adhesive kids foam diecuts. The 'one the edge' picket fence makes a cute stamp also. Oh, and chevron, that's what got my mind going in this direction. TH chevron Frameworks die is great for doing this also. I could go insane die cutting my movers and shakers dies, small ones and many other bigz dies with the fun foam and turning them into stamps :)

      Patricia Walker wow. You are a genius. I like using foam stamps when I art journal so I can use paint. Thanks so much for sharing your great idea. Sara

      Thanks. I've been wondering about using the thin adhesive craft foam with thin dies also and after this video last night another one popped up showing a lady die cutting very intricate thin dies into stamps and it was incredible. I wasn't sure the thin dies would cut something as thick as the craft foam, but they did a perfect job...I'm going to have to develop a whole new system for storing all the foam die cut stamps I'll be making :)

    When I made some stamps like that with the thin shapes I doubled them up to make them thicker on my stamp so the back of the stamp would not show!

    Can these be used with fabric paint on cloth and reuse them too? Foam is not washable i guess.

    I'm having a hard time finding the thicker foam to use as the base. I see that you are easily cutting it with scissors so it's not foam core board. Please tell me what it is and who makes it. Thank you for your videos
