Hi there Diana, thank you for sharing these great ideas, but I did want to mention, that for anyone that can't afford a Die Cut machine, the Embossing machine works great, it cost a good bit less & they work fantastic. Well of course people can cut them out by hand, but it is quite time consuming, but making foam stamps is tons of fun. I like the open-work leaf & the pumpkin.
I know this is an old video, but thank you! Have some old sticky back foam that is slowly becoming less sticky, and recently got into gel printing, so looking for some inexpensive ways to add texture to my prints. Bingo! Especially love the texturizing of the stamps, and the experimenting with heating them to get a crisper print. Going to have to go hunt for some textured items now!
Santa is bringing me a gelli plate and I have already prepared some textures plates per Teresa Morgan I is a paper towel roll with string around it, I is buttons,I is clothes pins,I is brand x method from a dollar tree.
Hello Diana! LOve what you are doing here. Would have LOVED to cut a rose cut you did on your machine. I tuned in thinking you were going to show how to cut it! Shoot!!
I love your discussion on creating our own vocabulary. Thank you for all of the ideas! I have been on a spending freeze. My first ever electronic die cutter is going to be the scan n cut in a few weeks
TFS your fun techniques! I have some pieces of blue foam that can be heated and molded with anything, then reheated to mold again. Since seeing your tut I want to make use of them more, as well as buy some of the thin foam that you have. That is a pretty little pumpkin!
So glad to see someone else is making these stamps. I have also created a video and am now getting it uploaded to TH-cam. I also printed up fonts and outlines and created some of mine that way. If you don't mind I am going to link your video so they can see how someone else did theirs.
first great video, seeing you use the double stick tape , you might want to try using Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over Liquid Glue. I saw someone using this in another video.
If you use acrylic it will soak into the fun foam. Some people don't like that and will wipe it off after use. To me it doesn't matter because it firms the foam well giving me a better stamped image. I also use the fun foam to make monoprints. Hope that helps.😃😁
Very informative video.. good tips.. I am just now getting into crafting and things are getting expensive.. thanks to your video, I can now find a cheaper way to do it.. I subscribed to your channel and will check out the ones that I haven't seen.. Thank you!
I love these. They're such cute designs...they have a lovely, soft non-defined and natural look to them. Was it you who made a stamp a few years ago, which looked like an acorn or, maybe, an acorn house? I liked, subscribed and saved. Tfs.
@ Vicki Hollander I haven’t had great luck stamping with acrylic on foam because the paint tends to be so uneven. (Try it though, you may have better luck.) Works better, for me anyway, removing paint when making gel prints.
HAHAHA..That is exactly how I feel about a Scan n cut... I want it sooooo bad...but can't justify the cost.. waiting for a big sale.. that is my only saving grace.. lol.

I love being original. This is an excellent way to create patterns over and over again in own style 🙂
What a great reminder :) I haven’t made any of these in ages! Enjoy

+Jesse b Oh! I would like one of those. It's a great tool, I think. Enjoy it.
This is great! I ran out and bought some craft foam and immediately started to make stamps. What a terrific idea.
+Jen Niles It's such a simple fabulous thing! Also if you have styro from take out or fruits/veg (not meat), that works too.

Easy and fun. Great info. Thank you
This looks like such fun! Duh! I don't know why I didn't think of this. Thanks for showing us.
+Debbie Woten so glad you like the idea, Debbie. I started doing this with kid classes years ago. It's really fun

Yeah! all for free :)
How do you clean the stamp when finished
Brilliant! You gave me a couple of ideas, I will share if they work....thanks Diana.
+craftyhodges Yes! do share :)
Great for monograms
Great idea!
Thanks for sharing, each one is unique particularly like the impression made after heating. Thumbs up.

Can acrylic paint be used to put on the stamp
yes
@@nuvoclassic does the acrylic paint have to have medium mixed in it

Awesome I love it. Thanks for the Take 2.
+Alma Currie It's much less dizzying ;)
Love the tips.
+Patti Turner I'm glad it was helpful, Patti. Thanks for commenting.
I usually take my X-acto and cut my design into a roll of cork board, or a sheet of Balsa wood or Basswood. This is a cool idea though. I like it.
Corkboard! Great idea. I remember people using wine corks but man! would that be hard on your hands. Thank you
Any time.
CAN YOU USE ACRYLIC PAINT ON THE FOAM?

great ideas, thanks.
+Robin Veysey Enjoy Robin :)

Cute!
Thanks!

Tupperware calls it a square round.
It’s NOT low-tech if it requires a machine.
You say low tech and then a minute later refer to using a $300+ machine.
