- This is an audio clip from a Pencey Prep live show where Frank Iero was still in the band. In the beginning Frank thanks everybody (including the guys in My Chemical Romance) for coming out, and then they play a non-album song called "Death of the Lionheart".
I love that he says MCR is his favorite band because he ends up joining it, every fangirl's/fanboy's dream came true for Frankie.

Pencey Prep definitely had potential. But My Chemical Romance had to happen. It saved so many lives.
I listen to Pencey Prep and now Stomaches and wonder if Gerard was eliminating some competition by absorbing Frank into MCR.
Pencey Prep will always hold a special place in my heart but let's face it. Frank's voice back then was an... Acquired taste. Like aged cheese.

Ray was in I Am A Graveyard, Frank's earlier band, even before this, and I kinda forgot for a second that he wasn't in this, too. So, during that one part where it's just the singing kinda loud, but clean, (it's 1:22) and there's barely any music in the background, I was like "Ray?!" Because it kinda sounded like him, like, woah. But, then I was like "oh yeah"

i was listening to this in playlist and i just heard frank say my chemical romance and was like WHAT?!

pencey prep would have broken up anyways, just because frank was in my chem that doesnt mean he couldnt have been in two bands at the same time, they broke up because there was a lot of fights and stuff, frank joining mcr was just the straw that spilled the glass

Anwayz, about the song... love the guitars. I must say, love the vocals on this. Frankie's sweet when he tries to sing soft acoustic, but he's, to simply put it, better with the screamo.
