Great video. I have bagged a Pro-D Zone, Z Buzzzz, ESP Meteor combination for over 12 years and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I gotta drop some love here for the hawk. I haven't liked the feel with either the meteor or comet but the hawk feels pretty good, tho I'm sure they're not all that different(weird and sharper than you'd think). It also a bit more stable and good for me a newer player with power, less snap natully, and frankly lacking form used to embracing stability. I'm also digging this z zglo buzz but can see myself with something esp or bigz for a bit of wiggle until the glo beats in real straight. Excited about the hawk tho. I putt #teamringer so an understable/stable less than speed 4 doesn't seem that practical. (I forehand a lot as well). Hope you got what you were looking for, Op!

VERY nice review. From what I can tell, you don't have alot of subs yet and seem like a fairly new reviewer and not a touring pro selling wares (nothing wrong with that either.) I am about to browse your vids and find out for sure but this is my style of review and you weren't just hitting bombs, you took the time to throw diff types of shots with diff winds and similar discs and great commentary about your thoughts. I have to sub and hope for more!
Btw, I have always had a Buzz, Meteor and recently have had a Buzzz SS in my bag but never a comet and wondered what that would be like and now I know. I also think I am going to re-invest in a meteor after this video.
One feedback, I checked your information and you link to see if you offer a link to someone like infinite discs, disc golf unlimited, Sun King or Marshall Street etc and you don't. I think if you are going to do great content like this, you should consider if they will offer you anything for linking folks to them

I would love to see you review the classic DX Roc and compare to the Discraft molds. Thanks for doing this video. Very helpful!

The Roc is most similar to the Wasp in my opinion, maybe .5 to 1.0 of a speed slower than the Wasp but more glide. The Wasp can shrug off bad form easier than the Roc, it isn't as easily affected by OAT ( off-axis torque) as a DX Roc.
Actually now that i think about it an old school flat top "Ching" Roc is very much like a Wasp. More OAT resistant and faster than a DX Roc with a little loss of Glide over the DX Roc.
I've only thrown the Roc3 a few times but is very reminiscent of a Ching Roc and not $60 to $80 if you can find one someone is willing to part with. Anyway hope that might help, and if you find a old Ching Roc don't throw it, just mail it to me!😉

Meteor is my disc of choice as well. And a z buzzz that’s more stable to overstable.

Alisha Schafer meteor is such a great disc. The McBeth Buzzz I bag is exactly what you described you like. I’m also learning to like the comet to fit right between the two. It’s definitely a “touchy disc”, but one I think is going to find its way into the bag.

Disc Golf Central I threw a comet when I first started golfing, and never liked the grip on it. Meteor fits in my hand much better.

@@alishaschafer3289 I have to grip my comets the same way I grip putters. I move the rim's edge up to my middle knuckle on my pointer finger instead of that first "digit" as Dave Feldberg calls it, and apply more thumb pressure to keep the nose down. That seems to keep me from flipping them over without sacrificing distance.

@@torreylaff Nice to hear the breakdown from a fellow thrower. Alot of times folks do something that we can learn from but can't put into words. Thanks for the tip. =-)

Why would you have three Z plastics and one Big Z?!
Different plastics are a major factor. Plastics affect the flight of the disc.

I don't understand all the hype around the Buzzz, as it's not hard to find a disc with same flight but more glide, such as Manta|Tursas|BB6, and compared to the Z-Buzzz; Truth|Skeeter|M4|Element|Origin.

    why should you throw understable

    • @bustedrav
      @bustedrav 3 ปีที่แล้ว

It's easier for beginners (more forgiving) and a lot of beginner don't have much of a forehand, so having a disc that goes right on rhbh is a good tool.
