It's amazing how meticulous they are, as in the car is literally built around the driver, it's not like "here we've built a car get in and drive it" I always remember David Couthard when he was at McLaren they changed something in the car and it bottomed out and he pulled out the race because the heat from the friction was literally burning his balls, bum and legs!!
I remember when Coulthard was at RB and he complained about the mirrors, that they shake so much he couldn´t see anything on them. He asked Newey if they could change them, which Newey replied "it´s easier to replace the driver".

So do they go in with a stock standard seat and then have it molded to the driver or is there no seat in there and the foam bag moulds around them?
I think first they make a mold of the body of the driver (the seat area), then they build a rough seat out of it. After that comes this part, trimming off parts the driver bumps with his arms or feel uncomfortable. After that they make the final mold and cast the carbon-fiber seat.

Have tried driving sim from driver position sat so low and you can hardly see over the damn car plus you got antenna smack bang in your way ,Dunno how they do it
they sit low because of the aerodynamics, but yeah, you are right about the driving position being very uncomfortable. They`re amazing driving machines.
sequoiatree555 i just watched video where Lewis says that driving position is so comfortable that he often falls a sleep at pits... also weight distribution is big factor.

If I don't ever get a chance for it my only opportunity is to get my international driver's licence so when I'm old enough I can race the nurburgring 24 so I can be noticed by an f1 team.if I its too expensive I'm just going to settle for jgtc machine racing or touring car races.:( plus I gotta do good in school. Which I am but I don't know where or how to start. And I don't wanna move to europe, in order to do all that so I'm hoping there is a way I can do it in the us.

@conz078: thanks. IM only 14 i heard i have to start young in order to get into it... alsorace gokarts... i went to.this go Kart place called Malibu speedway. AND i won.all the races there. So its my dream to get into the formula 1 but. I don't know how to get into it, or where to star and also it requires a lot of money to get into it. And I'm really looking hard for at least one shot for it since summer is coming up I'm gonna start to work so I can see if I can get enough money for it.

Exactly. Lewis Hamilton often spoke about how it sucked having to stay under 68kgs for his whole career because it meant he couldn't tone up and buff up his legs like he wanted to. Lol

Does anyone know how to get into the F1?
Start in Karting then if you're good enough you might get sponsored you'd go into Formula 3 then GP2 then F1. But most of these kids start VERY young. The most important thing is having lots of sponsorship money.

I've won the races I've had.. to bad didn't have the money back then. So probably going to have to settle for lm,jgtc, or even endurance racing... but that's the Gran Turismo series (NO not the game. The GT series has nothing to do with the ps game)I'm probably going to have to forget my F1 dream. And settle for 24 hr races.. what if I race the nurburgring 24? That's for amateur and experienced drivers. I only have to get my AI licence and go to europe pay 24 euros and hopefully have an FR car.

Why can't they make the chassis a fixed, standard size with adjustable inserts of some kind to accomodate unique drivers... I mean come on... even the cheapest car has adjustable seats and steering wheels.
