The old countertop was plastic laminate - sanding, staining and sealing wasn’t an option on that material and we wanted a wood finish. There are other ways to upgrade existing RV countertops though! Lots of people do contact paper which is super cheap and doesn’t add weight.

Hi! These are just pine 2x10s, available at any major hardware store. I recommend sealing them very well!
