They are pack goats, ya silly goose
Why? It looked better before...
Getting ready to buy a pop-up and do a little DYI. Excited! Good tutorial.
Great video! I just did the hike 2 days ago and it was my most difficult hike yet. My calves are still sore....and hips! Thankfully the water in the streams was cold enough for me to lay in several times and help with inflammation! By the way, I was on the Mist Trail at 3am in order to avoid the heat AND reach Half Dome before any storms or weather that typically occurs around noon. People have died from falls due to the wet, slick granite and lightning strikes, so make sure you can summit and return before any storms come in. If you see a storm approaching, do not proceed to Sub Dome/Half Dome. Also, I packed nearly 5 liters of water and I ran out with miles to go. So, I recommend folks get a water filter to use as a back up...I wish I did. I haven't been that dehydrated before either, so I know what you were going through. I also took the longer, John Muir Trail back, to avoid the steep step downs and save my knees. And this brings up a good TIP....buy trekking poles! You will love them and wish you started using them sooner! I met tons of people "hobbling" down the trail on the descent, with knee pain AND everyone of them KNEW they should have bought trekking poles. Do yourself a favor and get some. They help you engage your upper body too and are an excellent investment!
I did it when I was 9 I was the youngest kid to ever do it I am 12 today
Like the green and the wood
You and the hubby did a great job ,I love the wood and personal touches beauty, just a regular old red green type renovation lol just kidding looks sharp and clean ,😮
Always pack electrolyte water mix. You're sweating a lot on these types of hikes and you're also losing electrolytes, which makes you crash. I also pack hard candy (Jolly Ranchers) to keep my mouth moist. Half Dome is a tough hike! I've done it numerous times before the permit process. Now you should hike Long's Peak (14er) in Colorado. Makes Half Dome seem easy.
Where is this located I would ask my parents could we go visit
Thank you for the info I just went to Yosemite June 24-24 I did Yosemite falls and mist trail, I really want to do half dome after watching your video I would take enough water 💦 and cold beer 🍺 haha joking Well thank you for your video
Yes that looked like black mold YIKES! So you don't have to use tape between the joints in drywall?
We bought a house with an acre so our three small dogs can have plenty outdoor space❤
Looks great so far. Looking forward to seeing the progress as the months go on.
You should always use prime paint
Paint the outside of the roof with a rubberised coating sold in RV centres
You're doin a great job, kids. This is what ya call an investment!!!
Great job, camper looks larger than what it is .Thank you for Sharing,Did a Very anice Job!!!!🎉🎉🎉 Enjoy!!!
Cudos to you! Congrats !!
Great improvement
Well done 👍. Very informative. Loved the views.
I did this hike about 12 years ago with my teenaged son and two of his friends. Looooong day but so rewarding. If there's ever a next time, I will attempt to acclimate to the high elevation for a couple of days before doing the hike. The young men were doing great, but I was sucking air and had to stop a lot. Still, we made it up and down safely and had pizza on the valley floor to celebrate. Hope you got a shirt -- I've gone through a couple of them. Thanks for the excellent video.
How did everyone prepare for this hike prior to going up ? Exercise 3 months prior.. I’m out of shape 😢
thanks for all the info very interesting! new sub
You passed the Jumpoff 🥴🙈
I’ve thought about exactly what you are doing. Pop up’s are easy to pull, provide plenty of privacy. They just aren’t made to last forever. The only suggestion I have is to protect your trailer from mice. Look at ALL THE ROOM YOU HAVE.
Remodeling is remodeling. Choose wisely
I can't wait to see what else you do! I love pop-up camper transformations! And congratulations on the pregnancy!
I had the same pop top, wish I didn’t sell it. It had heaps of space and two king beds !! Did have similar issues with the roof though
Making progress. Just helped my older sister with same thing and she’s so happy with it. Worth it after all time spent
All this lady did was whine and complain for the whole video… the bugs, the heat, the stairs, the switchbacks… maybe hiking isn’t for you….
Calm down Tyler
Awsome! Looks great!
Keep some damp rid in there and replace often
Good idea!
I would be scared to camp in something that it takes less than 2 seconds for a bear to break into.
A lot of campgrounds in the heart of bear country have a strict policy about not leaving food in a pop up! Must be kept in a hard sided vehicle or bear box. Not sure we’ll be in that situation too often but it’s certainly a valid point!
Just back yesterday from camping beachside san Diego for a week....in a costco tent! Anything cheap I approve of. Hope you guys are kicking ass! Timmy C Arizona
Congratulations on the baby! I renovated our pop up while pregnant too at 37 weeks-it’s a work out. But I’m sure when it’s finished it will be lovely!
Dang that’s impressive! My energy is waaay better now than the first trimester but not sure I’ll be doing much manual labor later on!
I did Half Dome before they limited the number of people, and the cables would look like a traffic jam in LA by mid-day.
Aaah I can only imagine!
Aw, hell nah. #PanicAttackZone
Our first two campers were pop-uo types. The first was a 1969 StarCraft, and the second was a 1975 Coleman. We had two children, a boy and a girl. We enjoyed both campers immensely. (We enjoyed both kids also!) We hauled our campers as far east the Atlantic in Maine and as far west as Montana. After the Coleman, we graduated to an eighteen foot Frolic hard sided camper. We went everywhere in that one. We camped in snow storms and blistering heat. This was my first camper with an air conditioner. What a difference that made!! You have gone the opposite direction! You started out with a hard sided eighteen foot camper and now you have graduated to a Pop-Up. You have had your campers first and now you are starting to have children! After the eighteen foot Frolic, after we were done paying college bills for our two children, we bought a twenty-six foot Jayco. I still love the way you painted your first camper the historic colors. I always looked for that color scheme in the Sunday morning TH-cam releases. Hoping to see you in your pop-up until your baby is born. You then can supplant camper pictures with family pictures. Let us enjoy your baby pictures along with your family pictures!! Do not leave us out, PLEASE!!!
Haha yes we did go backwards! Hoping to graduate to something even larger than our first rig after this one
Love what yall are doing. 😊 congrats on the baby!! I hope we'll get to see him/her camping with yall in the future!!
Oh yes definitely a little camping baby! Thanks for watching :)
Actually Shoshone can be pronounced either way and it's acceptable officially.
Congrats you two! Love your videos, have been watching since the first RV Reno and all your travels. Glad you're back doing some videos. Take care of that little growing baby, so exciting 😊.
That makes me so happy! Crazy to think back to when we renovated that first camper three years ago!
I’ve owned 2 pop-ups . Hope you like it . Congrats on the baby . Excited for our journey
Wow !! First, congrats on the pregnancy!! I was just thinking, you guys have become quite the DIY'ers and its cool to see your projects. Again, congrats on adding to the family!
Thanks so much! We have a lot to learn but we’re doing our best!
Omgsh, y’all have the most beautiful design aesthetic 😍😍😍
Are you keeping it?
Qtr dome is the hardest part
Are you going to rent this place out?
