- Seal Beach keeps paying so I keep going there after the huge winter swells that hit on Jan 6th. I found a silver ring, pendants and lots of coins while metal detecting using my Minelab Equinox 800.

The VDI on the 800 vs the 900 is very different. If you go by the VDI readout for your WYDI, it going to be tough.....

It has a deep sound compared to the beach sounds. I think I caught a 42. I plan to buy a Nox 900, I don't have a clue how the numbers compare to my CTX 30/30.
I guess it is something made of stainless steel. Maybe a steel bolt, washer or tent peg. I live in Maine and we dig lots of tent pegs on the beach. Also lots of lobster traps and bits, which drives me batty.

Hi Jim, loving your videos. With the recent storms, here in So Cal, we have some nice cuts in Long Beach. How do you deal with all the trash and debris that's currently piled up?
Trashed in beaches are brutal, I do my best to avoid those areas but when there are a lot of targets and trash it makes it a slow painful challenge.

Most of that garbage on that beach washes down the San Gabriel River.
Yes, some times just huge amounts once we pulled 17 target shopping carts from the beach, I can only image how many more are still out waiting for the next huge swell. Thank you 🤙

Is the minelab go find 44 good?
The Go Find 44 has it's place, if you are looking for easy to use, budget friendly and really good detector the Vanquish series is a better choice.
What brand and model of metal detector are you using?
