I really appreciate seeing the joy you get from the provenance of your finds. Too few of us take the time to cogitate on the history our finds represent. Thanks for doing so, and doing so on video.
@@Addictedtobleeps anytime good sir,I love your channel and I'm always in awe of the history of your country and the unbelievable discoveries that are just waiting to be found
Thanks for sharing mate. I'm convinced metal detecting and archeology is the nearest we will ever get to time travel, thus the emotional factor. BTW, try not to give the time of day to the internet idiots, not worth it. Its like having an conversation with a drunk person, they will beat your argument down with their stupidity.
This is why I drink a carb drink during intense training. Period most drink protein and sugar or dextrin pre workout drinks. Not good causes large insulin spikes and can add bloating and well it's just not good.
Loved the bit about the McDonalds token. I called it that in fun, but I told you not to chop it up 😁 5:08 looks like a 'pot mend'. Your 'button of nothingness' is silver washed and rather nice. Love the CANADA badge eh? Finding stuff like that, in the words of 'The Detectorists', it makes you a time traveler. Nice hunt Kris.
I got a World war 1 soldiers Swagger stick from an Antique shop a couple of months ago. It had the soldiers number on it, after a bit of looking into as I knew his Regiment was the Scots Guards. Found out his name through his medal awards was to a William Burns.. Also found that he survived the war as he was still in the Regiment in 1919.. This made my week got a name to the owner of it.. so I understand why you should be so with your finds :)
Another mighty fine video Kris . Nice pot mend. I met a nice gentleman the other day who ask me if Joan Allen was still detecting. He used to detect with her back in the early days. I said she is big in the world of detecting. Thank you for your time and effort looking forward to seeing you on your next adventure. Wasp and Helen 🐝
@@waspiusmaximus2485 It is indeed. So, she sold it onto another fella decades ago and then Luke (the current owner) now owns it, after buying it from the second owner. He kept her name as a nod to her legacy in the Metal Detecting world, which is actually quite huge. She started with a very basic form of detector in the 60’s!
Some great finds and the the ring the research and the badge definitely make digging up lots of trash worth it It’s all about the history and lives that have lived and sadly departed keep it up please
great content mate, i can fully understand feeling something when you found the canada badge, its a link to the past that most of us are still greatful for the sacrifices given.keep up the good work🙂
Thanks for another very enjoyable video Kris. That Canada shoulder badge was a great find and I quite liked the washer at the end too ;) Sorry you had a run in with an internet jerk. For a small minority of disgruntled people, the internet seems to bring out the absolute worst in human interraction.
Awesome video!! Question, not to sound ignorant, where did all the lead typically come from you guys dig up over there? Seems to be alot in the ground??
Hi, Brian! Mostly from the Romans and then through to modern times. They used it for everything (including to drink and eat from - which is why many people conclude that the Empire went 'mad') It's such a versatile metal as well, that can be used for things such as toys, weights, tokens, cosmetics, piping, bullets, and loads more. We now know that old lead is toxic stuff, and pretty dangerous. Its crazy that they used it like that.
It doesn’t matter what you do say or find there is 10% of the population that will never agree with you doesn’t matter what it is. Canadians 🇨🇦 appreciate your videos my friend. 👌🏻👌🏻🇨🇦
Another great instalment Kris. Two of us saved lead from diggs last year and got nearly £40. Paid for our curry at Xmas 😂. Ignore the haters and keep your head up👍
Hey, your message at the beginning about that complete BERK who went off at you last video. Honestly what is wrong with people, you're sharing this cool journey for free?! I wish I'd seen it so I could go off at them. From a psychology perspective you can say they're jealous and operating under some narcissistic sense of entitlement, but are unwilling to actually put in the work to create their own channel so get their jollies from telling others how wrong they are, because oh, if they only had the will and means to create their own channel it would be *so* much better...idiots. And hard for you, because when things are good - people tend not to speak up. It's only when they have a complaint that you hear about it. We can't control people though, so I want to do what I can to balance out that garbage you have to put up with. Our whole family still loves your content, and I'm going to make a commitment now to comment on every video about the good stuff, because saying "that's so cool" in my head and not putting it to the comment window doesn't reach you at all.
Hi chriss those bronze ring things if you put in celtic ring money and have a read its very interesting , im not saying thats what they are but get you wondering 👍
The internet is full of !^£$@&£*£'s who just aren't worth your's, mine or ay other decent human beings time!!ANother great video, Kris. That Canada badge and the story is something beautiful.
Lead sandwich looks like a potmend with a bit of pot still in it 👍 glad you've banished the troll from the kingdom of bleeps 😂 good day sir from a far away land but we need not the presence of one who is a fopdoodle ha ha ha
That Canada badge was an interesting finned and I've watched that film and it's nice to see it from the other side but I watched beneath hill 60 how they blow up the whole ridge line killing thousands of German soldiers. The first time I saw that, that weekend there was a time team special on about the vampire tunnel which was one of the German tunnels and how when the mines went off the explosion was so powerful they felt it in London
Just as a voice of reason….I have many American friends, and a couple of them are the smartest people I know. The U.S is BIG, and it’d be naive to presume that everyone is as daft as Mr McDonald’s token 😂

It's not what you find - it's what you might find! 🙂 - - Nice Canada shoulder-badge.
McDonald's!! My god the cheek of it, find that viewer and apply 50 lashes to give him something to think about. Good hunt today chap, most enjoyable.

Nice farting coin! 🍀 HOPE YOU'RE ENJOYING THE 900. Got mine coming, I hope I picked correctly. I couldn't see myself spending 500 more for the Manty.
So far, so good my friend. Especially if you're coming from the 800. You'll love it.

Beautiful. As a Canadian, well done young fella!
Thank you kindly, John :)
I think the word to describe your feelings after finding the Canadian badge, would be "Humbled," ,👍
Lead and steel bit probably a pot mend Kris
Aw, was totally joshing. Bless.
Brilliant as usual and Reflectively Respectful !!!
Very entertaining as usual mate and also very enthusiastic about your finds, brilliantly done and see you soon. Alan

Oh, Rich. Thats a tough one to answer. I'm going to do a video on it soon though!
Kris, you do what you do best and you handled it well if he got so aggressive. Greetings from Denmark and cheers
Thankyou, Sir! :D
@@Addictedtobleeps allways :-) gone crazy lately with my quest 30 and found all sorts of finds. Mostly because of you and Scottiesdetectorist 🤪
Bit of lead 5 minute ish pot mend or rivet maybe

The thing at 5mins, looks like an actual McDonald's burger! maybe it's the one that the token came with? 🤣
So was it a McDonald’s token??? Sorry couldn’t help myself loving ya long time ❤
Nice one Chris.

It's an antique McDonald's token 🤣

Is it sad that I can recognise where you are by the vegetation🤷♀️ or am I just at one with my universe? Awesome Canada shoulder brass👍
At 5:21 it looked like a McDonald burger I thought!🙂
Kinda ironic, Gilles! 😂

I'm lovin' it....😆😆
Burgers a lead - mend for a pot / funny face object as you put it is one end of an early 1900s set of blinds 😀
5 mins in Chris, looks like a lead pot mend.
That's what I thought
5 mins in is a ye olde McDonald's mini burger
Nice Farthing , a good day out.
That 1st thing looks like a small clock winder
I think if you look closely…. It’s a McMuffin token….😂
From the 70's!
Totally agree about the armed forces.

Thats fascinating, Philip!
Looks like a witches mark on that lead. Any chance?
Pot mend the lead maybe
Good job wasn't a wimpy token, your be filthy rich, some people just take life abit seriously ignore those types.
A lot of young ,good Canadian boys were lost in those dam wars
Just a ridculous waste :'(
Thanks for vid.
Those Americans 😁😆😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🥳
I see nokta announced 3 new detectors but I hope you get to test a Quest V80. To see how it does.
Thanks for watching :)
But it clearly is a Mc Ds token.
You're a Mac D's token.
Haha that’s the second time you mentioned me.
Some Americans don't know what is old. Anyone can clearly see it is not a McDonalds token. It is upside down and is actually a "W" for Wimpy....TUT 🤪🤪
It actually looks like a upside down Volkswagen logo haha, 😂
enjoyed that
nice Video 🫠
Good Job
Thanks ✌
that is not a musket ball that's a toy from a MacDonalds kids meal from 1853
Haha maybe a roman McDonald's token 😄
You should have turned that "token" upside down and told him it was a Wendy's token.
It is definitely not a McDonald’s token it is a mediaeval Minelab token 😂
Oh geez....why do other Americans always have to be so embarrassing to the rest of us?
Just as a voice of reason….I have many American friends, and a couple of them are the smartest people I know. The U.S is BIG, and it’d be naive to presume that everyone is as daft as Mr McDonald’s token 😂
Macdonalds most likely just about the same amount of history of America
You make a good vid but I never see you find anything
1st woohoo
Don't mumble.
