Efren not complaining about a fan is no surprise. Yes Efren has as much class as any man but it probably didn't bother him as much as most guys. In the Philippines these guys play high level pool matches in rooms with a hundred guys hanging around the table. They play with humidity so bad they have piles of chalk on the actual rails and those people around the table may only be 3 feet away to the point players have to work around them to shoot so a little camera flash is nothing for a Filipino player.

Oof, right. Love these two players, but his commentary is abysmal. I'd rather have Earl Strickland commentating. At least his career was relevant, unlike Danny's.
Shane has a very unique stroke in the way he has a long fluid wind up with a dip in it, but after all of that movement, believe it or not he actually "jabs" the the stick or poke strokes it, you gotta watch the final stroke and where the tip ends up on the follow thru or in his case the lack of it, some of his strokes the stick actually comes "back" that's why I say "jab", never the less, like no other jab stroke I've ever seen, he controls the the cue ball as good as anybody, which is not a skill that usually comes with a jab stroke, normally those kind of strokes are known for pocketing balls, particularly long hard shots, Efren on the other hand has a more classic pendulum swing with a good follow through although not a "power" stroke, but a finesse stroke, that's why he plays one pocket so good, among other skills, for another great stroke I look at Earl, long fluid "power" stroke, but not quite the control as Efrens finesse stroke, as for Fedor it's a what I call a" phony" stroke, it's a very contrived mechanical stroke, as in one step after another, most important with that kind of stroke is the timing, and it forces you to follow through the cue ball because of the long deliberate final back stroke, it's not a natural stroke, but it's works and works good!
How about A SCORE BOARD - on that informs an audience of all matches involved in a tournament and more than just the score a score board the same level as a baseball or football game
Basically yes, 1000 would be a perfect performance, missing any ball or safety affect this score, with two scores In the 900s would be very high level pool, that only top pros usually score!
How to make this game more attractive to the people? Disallow jump-shots. Increase the countdown per shot. If the players are forced to play 1-, 2- or 3-rails shots, this looks way more well thought out and almost 'magical' to beginners. This would be a huge attraction, and also a way back to traditional playing.
1:08:30 Pool is not a harder game that golf. That's why the best pool players are more consistent. As a pool fanatic, these guys are the best at what they do, but I wouldn't go as far to say that pool is more difficult than golf. And thus, you cannot say that top pool players have mastered the game more than top golfers have mastered their own game; which, in my opinion, is a harder game based on the number of variables and unpredictability.
Danny played pool and golf well. He also had a hustle where he would bet money he could throw a golf ball through a football goal from the other in zone, 100 yards. And he would nail it!

That's actually the 5. Very interesting how it reads as a 3 because of the ball's rotation and the camera angle. You can hear the commentators say the 3 rockets into the corner pocket on the break.
@@thatscnotkExactly what I was gonna say. At first I also saw 3, but the referee didn't intervene and call a foul so I stopped the video and looked closely to see it was actually the 5 ball.
The commentators mentioned something about controversy over Shane’s break. That some players watch him closely to see if he’s cheating when wracking the balls? Can anyone elaborate on that?
Sounds like one of those he's so good and efficient at something in this case breaking that players used to thin he was "cheating" kinda things i'd guess, only thing I can think of Shanes about as professional and rule abiding as they come ya know.

@ 8:02 Jayson Shaw is only 5 years younger than Shane not 7 or 8.
I don’t like having to watch my two favorite players play each other!!! Ugh!!!
At 7:18….Hey Danny….he POSITIVELY PLAYED THAT SHOT….THE CAROM FOR the 2
41:23 Shane hit the 4ball when the 3ball is still on the table. I don't get it
That's actually the 5.
Players should not be be able to rack their own balls
The commentators mentioned something about controversy over Shane’s break. That some players watch him closely to see if he’s cheating when wracking the balls? Can anyone elaborate on that?
Sounds like one of those he's so good and efficient at something in this case breaking that players used to thin he was "cheating" kinda things i'd guess, only thing I can think of Shanes about as professional and rule abiding as they come ya know.
