That Tallin knife reminds me of a knife I have that I got 40 years ago made by Tekna, it has the same blade, only it has a plastic sheath around it, and when you push the button, the sheath retracts inside the body of the knife.
Love my Conspirator but I think I like my Cogent more. Less mass means better action but I prefer the drop point blade. Oh well... Can't always get what you want. Lol
While I would say that both blades are excellent, the Cogent's action is far and away better IMO. The Cogent fires out with authority like it's an automatic knife, and is hands-down the best, snappiest and most comfortable flipper I've ever had. Compared side-by-side the Conspirator is downright lethargic as it lazily rolls open. It works fine, it's just underwhelming given how good its predecessor is. The Cogent also has more jimping along the liners and a bit more shape to the handle which I like. I wish they offered the Cogent in a non-blacked-out blade, but in time perhaps. Really the only thing it doesn't have is the finger groove, but it doesn't really need it.
Can you still flick or thumb ‘deploy’ the cognant? Looks pretty nice just curious if you can one hand open it other than just the flipper or button lock

I am always down for Civivi knives, I think they make some of the best for the money right now. In fact, I have two being shipped to me right now, a Praxis and a Conspirator. I always call the Conspirator the Constipator though due to being tired and misreading the name the first time, so I stuck with it.
That Conspirator has been next on my list for a bit now. Probably about time. This video put an auto back in my pocket for a few days. Which has been fun. They need love too. But I've had a Civivi Button Lock as my edc for so long it may be time to get a new one. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

I have Benchmade and other medium and high end knives but the knife I have the most love for is the Buck 110 as I had to use one twice in Viet Nam to save my life twice at bad breath distance.
I really like the Godfather, mostly because of it's classic roots with the modern body and the cost is fairly reasonable considering it's made in the United States of America. I have a question for you and I haven't checked yet with Cold Steel to see if they make a Ti-Lite in an automatic version or not because they have the classic look of the old stilleto with a modern flare.
I'm sorry, I'm kind of new to knife collecting, but can you explain to me how the godfather is a switchblade? Again, I am kind of new to collecting and am still learning.
@@elihollingsworth6852 the main difference is the large Dawn in the dawn have little quilliam's on the blade or handguards whatever you want to call them and they're a little fancier than the Godfather they usually have inlays of carbon-fibre the one I had was burl wood very beautiful. I think the Godfather is more of a tactical knife and the Don is more of a collectors piece.

Liked and subbed. I CAN afford a $1300 knife. I just don't want to. It's a freaking knife. It's made to do ONE thing: cut. Everything else is gratuitous. I've never seen or handled a WE Banter. I bought myself a Civivi Baby Banter for my birthday. This is the ONLY knife in my collection that I can middle finger flick reliably. Y'all content creators flick knives 24/7, and that's cool. But I struggle to middle finger flick my Benchmade Mini-grip.

Of the 4 civivi button lock models, do you like the conspirator best? I have a cogent and a button lock elementum and I love them both. I'll probably end up getting an Altus and a conspirator eventually anyway though. I have an unhealthy civivi addiction lol.
You know what the number one factor I consider when contemplating a knife purchase?…Is it “MADE IN CHINA” or not. I wish everyone would boycott Chinese made…stuff. And make no mistake, I’m not basing it on quality. Thats irrelevant. Especially collectors. We’re literally throwing money away on our frivolous hobby. Not in a bad way, but if we’re buying these, we aren’t going hungry. We should make a stand where we can. IMO Just a thought. ~RESPECT~
Nope. Most of the stuff I get for free is given away on livestreams though. The more expensive stuff, yes. I pay for myself. And I mean the $500+ stuff.
A lot of these are incredibly overpriced for being such small companies. You could get a handmade knife or a decent Benchmade for the price point of some of these. Not saying that they aren't good looking knives ,but a lot of these small companies are putting out overrated junk that wear out in a few months of wearing in your pocket.

I carry my conspirator more than any other knife. My altus is a close 2nd then my kizer T1. The nitro v on the conspirator takes a great toothy edge.

i have to cogent which is almost identical to the Conspirator and it has been my most carried knive sense I got it, its great.

Pretty sure switchblade usually refers to an italian stiletto but ive heard it used as an umbrella term for automatic knives
Legally (Seriously) it refers to a knife that is automatically operated by any switch or button.
