    I carried the bugout a lot with the molded scales just as a second knife, but then I picked up some flytanium lotus micarta scales and carbon fiber backspacer and it really did transform it. Feels a lot more comfortable and solid while still being nice to carry since it's still very light, thin, and that pocket clip is my favorite. I find myself using it a lot in the kitchen as well, something I've never done with another pocket knife.

    First thing I did was to order Lynch northwest clip for the AD 2.5. The clip also lands on the smooth surface(barely). Sanded down the lock jimping. It's the perfect fidgeter now.

    • @BeagsBlades
      @BeagsBlades 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good idea. My finger is always sore when I carry it because of that jimping and I can't stop fidgeting with it.

      I also put some heavy kpl lube on the contact point between the lock and the blade part. The detent feels even stronger and whips out better. Now I'm just waiting for my skiff bearrings to arrive. The 6mm pivot, 1mm 19ball

    Magnacuts stainless abilities are the highest next in line behind vanax and lc200n. Toughness is next right next to m4 and cruwear. Then edge retention which is around s30 variants. This info is straight from the man himself. Very very good stats. Better then most need.

    Saw that vid Pete did, cool vid. Don't remember what he said the hardness was but he put a super thin edge on it (either 13° or 15° per side). At those angles I believe he concluded that Magnacut performs similar to m390 (at 17° angle). All to say magnacut "unleashed" boasts comparable edge retention to m390; a testament to how edge geometry effects egde retention.

    I have an Ultratech. Love this knife. Mine unfortunately is very hard to deploy. Take two hands both ways. This, in contrast to my Lightening OTF that is smooth as butter. Tried the oil and repeated deployment. Even gave it to my really strong 25 year old son to work it. It seems the spring is just really powerful. I know if I send it to Microtech, it might be a year or so. Two handed deployment and closing, essentially renders the knife unusable. Any ideas?

    Looking for some advice. Before buying the S35VN version of the CRKT CEO, I purchased one of the cheaper versions to see if I liked it. I was disappointed in the knife so I would like to know if you could suggest other similar knives from other vendors. Thanks.

    I actually really like AUS-10A, seems to get the same performance of 154CM or S35VN, at least observationally.

    The first knife you showed on this video I believe was from Vero engineering. When I went to their website it shows On the cover page a knife like that along with some others but for some reason I can’t navigate to dad specific knife
