    Hi, I have 2016 VW Touareq, the check engine light has been shown on and when check with OBD2 I found 2 codes ( P0056 & P0057 ) the problem come from bank 2 sensore 2 and the mechanic advice me to replace both of it! do you share same advice? or is it enough to replace one sensor?
    Thanks 🙏

    • @512TXSDIY
      @512TXSDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can always replace one of them first and see if the issue continues. If so, then replace both. It is a pretty easy DIY so maybe only change what needs to be changed?

    Can I still drive it if there are no symptoms, yet the CEL is illuminated? I was told it was the oxygen sensors. I am about 500 miles from home. Thanks in advance.

    • @512TXSDIY
      @512TXSDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you will be fine. Likely lower gas mileage and some sputtering.

    Which sensors are for bank 1?

    • @512TXSDIY
      @512TXSDIY  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bank 1 should be before the cats. Bank 2 is after the cats.

    Dear all,
    I own a 2012 Porsche Cayenne V6 with 120,000 kilometers driven. I've noticed a minor issue with my vehicle: when accelerating, it experiences jerks. In an attempt to resolve this, I've replaced the ignition coils, spark plugs, spark plug seal, and gasket due to a small leakage. I also performed injection cleaning from Bosch. However, the problem persists when accelerating from 20 to 80 kilometers per hour. Any suggestions on a permanent solution? The car runs smoothly at normal speeds.
    Will this O2 sensor fix the issue

    Where are the oxygen sensors on an 08 V8 engine model?

    • @512TXSDIY

      I haven't personally done a V8 Cayenne yet. I did find this online for you though: www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/64-FUEL-Oxygen_Sensor_Replacement/64-FUEL-Oxygen_Sensor_Replacement.htm

      I was getting P0421 I believe it was. If you’re doing the work yourself, it is a bit of process of elimination. Those codes are usually an indicator that you need both new cat converters which is what you probably don’t want to hear. How is the car running? CEL just on I assume? There are work arounds instead of replacing MAF (mass air flow sensor), up/downstream 02 sensors, exhaust, etc. I’ll email you. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe if you haven't already.

      i keep getting po421
      what is needed to fix ?

    • @olgafursova3039
      @olgafursova3039 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@willywonka077 I am getting both 421 and 431 on mine as well - 2006 Porsche Cayenne V6 3.2L. I will try that route. But what is interesting here is that when I check my SMOG CHECK status (using OBD) - it says that Oxygen sensors are ready for SMOG check (I am in California and it's pretty stringent here). So the issue is most probably with the oxygen sensors (hopefully, not catalytic converters!)?

  • @olgafursova3039
    @olgafursova3039 ปีที่แล้ว

    what kind of trouble code did you have on your OBD so that you had to replace O2 sensors? Was that trouble 421 code by chance?

    • @512TXSDIY
      @512TXSDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is one of them. If you replaced both sensors then it is your cat converters.

  • @Candiiiii

    I got a P2099 bank 2 error code on my 2016 cayenne. Do you know which one of those are bank 2?

    • @512TXSDIY
      @512TXSDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is after the cat converter. You should have 4 total: 2 pre cat which is before the cat and 2 post cat after the cat. Could be a mass air flow sensor too.

    • @Candiiiii
      @Candiiiii 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@512TXSDIY Right, however my is the base version, which only has 1 mass air flow I believe and theres no bank 2 for that..so I am guessing that leaves me with the possiblity of just the O2 sensor. Thanks for your information!

    Why can't I find any videos like this for the Turbo V8 model. Ugh. Seems like a PITA job and I don't want to have to pay someone $3350 to do it (real quote, FML)
