I recently caught my first fish recently and I used some of your tips Nothing better than finishing a fishing trip and having Guinness after (yes Im Irish)
Thanks mate great advice about putting the rod in the water to push the line in the water to keep the float in one place stopping wind drift. Thank you
i've been here! to buy my ticket for horcott lakes! thanks TAFishing you have shown me multiple great places to fish youre so close to a great fishery called flaxlands its great you can catch carp all day long!
Thank you for the video. Hard conditions but nice outcome. Nice tip for lifting up the bait. Just a suggestion for the cold days - maybe you can make a video about your fishing trips from the past. Just a description of what happened and what was interesting. I am sure that most of your subscribers would like to hear your stories and tips. Thank you again, wish you all the best.
Thankyou for all your tips if it wasn't for you I would never be able to catch the fish I have!! I'm only 13 and bcos your carp vids I have caught a 22lbs ghost carp thank you so much it was a TOTALLY AWESOME fish!!!
Hello mate, Smith is always laughing, well already for tomomrow, oder of the day bread on the float, and maybe later good old worm on the ledger, all the best Graeme.
you crack me up, I love ur put together set up! too funny! but I do love the effort u put into ur films! worms are my alltime fav bait for all fishing! espesh perch!
I thought what a lovely place to fish...especially with it being on the thames! imagine my surprise whe I searched google maps. Its a long way from me. It looks a lovely place to fish though. Must be nice to fish and hear the traffic sometimes...a feeling of 'I'm glad I'm not in that traffic and fishing instead.' Always enjoy your videos guys.
Hiya if you go to Kettering in Northamptonshire there is a free stretch of river known as the river ise which is between Boughton house and Wicksteed Park, you will encounter roach twice the size of that one and also lots of perch, pike and some of the most massive chub I have ever seen. At first I thought it was a barbell. The monster chub like dog biscuits too. Thanks for your videos.
+TAFishing I would agree, so underrated. we use fresh cut or live bait but we always bring worms you never know when you need them and often not, when the fresh cut is scarce worms turn up action. Not to mention, worms catch us drums pretty quick and those get turned into fresh cut. keep a few dozen in the fridge all year. fantastic video once again.
Ive had river pike on bread a few times as im sure many have experienced but I have had a lot more river pike take glow in the dark fake corn . All when fishing for river carp . But the glow in the dark has happened too many times to be a one off . All just as the light is fading .
hi graeme, I would a lot of sea fishing but we're I live it can be very very weedy, after seeing your pop up rig I was wondering could u use that in the sea just to lift the hook out of the weeds a bit as well as giving the worms more of an attractions be cuz of the current?
I use live worms to jig and drop shot in the winter when the lure fishing becomes much harder, exactly the same rigs as when I lure fish, but with live worms replacing the soft plastics
@@TAFishing Although I do often switch to live worms in the winter, now that most of my fishing involves soft plastics, I kind of consider live bait fishing as cheating, because a live worm to a perch is like a red rag to a bull. I think catching on artificial bait feels like much more of an achievement
Graeme... really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing all the tips & other information. I especially liked the tip about using the yellow sweet corn with the worm, to raise the bait off the bottom a few inches. I am confident that will work here in the U.S.A. when fishing for Bluegill.
That stonework around the bay like that is really awesome. Looks so nice, like you can just get yourself a few drinks at the pub and right next to do some fishing. Is the water pretty clean? Do you keep them and eat them at home?
nice one can never not enjoy a days fishing for perch and nice roach i fish in bedfordshire for many years and ive always gone for perch ive had many over 5lbs took years to find the hot spots ,great videos keep the good work up and if theres away i can contact you plesse let me no and maybe sort a day out and get a few big perch on cam 👍
Hi Graeme, Another great video. Seems like the weather was good for you that day. Its been horendous up here in Scotland. Very frustrating when all you want to do is get out there and enjoy time on the water whether you catch or not. The wind is the worst. I can cope with any rain but crickey high winds whipping up the sea. have been a real test in the past few weeks. Cheers For Now. Steve, in Fife.
+Iain Clark, Hi Ian thanks for your message. I know what you mean regarding fish mopping up. Crickey i think i was in the wrong places though during the bad weather. Talk about testing you, my goodness i was peeded off. I am fairly new to this hobby and i cant get enough of it. Its testing at times but add high winds and i think im on the Trawlermen series on tv ha ha. I cannot wait for the winter to end in order to really progress my interest in this amazing hobby. I notice that you said you were close to me so i will give you my email address incase you want to meet up at some point. Ive always got Sausage Rolls and Iced Donuts with me as i find it essential to add to the mix. Other guys i meet at fishing marks laugh at how i lay back and enjoy my fair, in a nice way, but also with envy because theve got bugger all. Ha Ha. My email is, stephendaniels4444@yahoo.com
Iain Clark Hi Iain, Well theres supposed to be Cod but so far i havent seen any. Anstruther would probably be the best place, and theve got a great Chippy for the end of the day. Cheers, Steve.
Drove past this earlier & as going over the bridge though the pub looked familiar from a TA Fishing video- youtube opened on the phone & video located. Watching for the 5th time since it was uploaded. Have you ever fished horseshoe lake?
Thank you for your worthy tips most appreciated mate. That roach was a nice fish and so were the perch. Ps tell smith to shut up whilst you are recording lol Thanks for sharing 👌👍🇬🇧
Hi. I start fishing to so i'm beginner i fiah two time but i watch your video and you're very very good. .thanks for your videos. I thinking to start doing fishing videos to with fishing can you give my any advice please.? Thank you
I'm not sure where he gets them from but if you go on a website called willy's worms they sell live maggots and all other sorts of bait and if you deliver before 1pm they try and get your order to you the next day
Only?...wowim not trying to compete but i caught a 33lbs a 57lbs and a 16.5lbs carp this week...rest was catfish and panfish...btw i fish huge carp with french fries
Nice video. Worms are obviously a great universal bait and will catch anything but is there any reason to want to fish with them instead of maggots? and while i like the worm and maggot cocktail you did in this video to catch those fish, you can still catch them on just a single or double maggot. Making that cocktail just takes longer, more time spent fishing and less time on the bank means more fish you catch. I like your videos and you're a good guy, a true character of an angler! you look a little bit and sound like Bruce Forsyth lol.
this guy is cool as hell. I wish he was my uncle or grandpa and i could go fishing with him. Such a chill older dude
Bbfishman Graham's son has a channel TA Bushcraft which he sometimes appears on and is relaxed and funny
Trust me graeme is the man
i realize I'm quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to stream new movies online?
@Roberto Graham i would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
@Roberto Graham i watch on flixzone. Just google for it :)

I never seen a perch like that .over here across the pond in texas we have bluegill perch and sun perch and of course we have ocean perch .
love to go fishing with this fella, he could be my pops
We call them red fin here in OZ and they are considered a pest in our rivers, but very good eating.
worms are a fantastic bait fr all fis, they were all i used at one point had tonnes of carp on them to 20+lb very underrated

Ano it's 5 year late but yes.
I use live worms to jig and drop shot in the winter when the lure fishing becomes much harder, exactly the same rigs as when I lure fish, but with live worms replacing the soft plastics
Works well,I did a film with Mike about it ..I actually prefer it over plastics..more species likely to take it.

I wonder if I'd be able to catch a few fish this time of year up here in Ontario Canada with worms
Beautiful perch! They're a real underrated fish in terms of fishing and eating here in the States
can you catch sum breem . were you court them tench big old 1s breem
Will u guys have some ice fishing now that the smaller lakes are getting ice? It would be awesome!
Not much ice fishing in the UK mate
+Muskie oh really? too bad i thought i would be ice since south sweden has ice
Great video.
What do you think is a good all round car/pickup to tow your boat and also chuck all your stuff in the back.
+win307 Depends on weight of your rig.I have always used a 2 litre Estate for mine, but I guess more power is better.
I enjoy your videos, great perch and very good catch.
Tommy
Could anyone tell me if they think chopped worm is a good feed and is so what should I mix into it
Good for Perch, mixed in with a very light groundbait that breaks up easily..usually matchmen's groundbaits are good for that.
OK also how fine should I chop the worm
the noise I'll just call character 🎷
Can u make a video where u set up a fishing rod???
What size hook should I use please
About a size 12 on average. All depends on the size of the worm. For a lobworm you might want a size 8.
@@TAFishing OK thanks

I think I fished it many years ago when it might have been a trout flyfishing water ? maybe I'm wrong.
@@TAFishing Yes there is a trout water next to it- think horseshoe is carp & tench lake but it mayve had trout in past.
Great video. Just got back into fishing after many years away (as a teen) and hoping to go out and catch some this weekend
we fish perch with perch meat cut piece 1x1 cm or bigger very efective and biger fish is coming out
I agree. He is awesome😀
What was the white float baits? Great underwater shots.
It might have been a popup boilie cut in half. They are bouyant.
Thank you for your worthy tips most appreciated mate. That roach was a nice fish and so were the perch. Ps tell smith to shut up whilst you are recording lol
